Robots That Vacuum And Mop: 11 Thing You're Forgetting To Do
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session and without the need to switch between devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its relatively modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time with the complete dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you could choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only problem is that it tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station has a handy LCD screen that shows when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood however we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or a vacuum/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. The model of this year features two agitators built into its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It can then change its direction in a way that is automatic and clean around them without missing a step.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these via the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track battery life. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best options available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and food particles. It comes with a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the need for pads. Additionally the X40 is extremely quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
Another standout feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brushes, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile, making it a great option for apartments or condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and alert you before it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. auto vacuum is an option we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of settings available which include the ability to schedule cleaning and alter a variety of preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning process, and there are a lot of functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, sporting metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
