Robots That Vacuum And Mop: 11 Thing You're Forgetting To Do
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one go, without having to switch devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its low cost, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and also vacuums well. Its mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only drawback is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but a quick glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks must be completed like emptying the debris tray, and rinsing its dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner with a 600ml of eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. And you can see the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood although we would like to be able to differentiate between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot mop and vacuum, is the most recent version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.
The Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. robot vacuum cleaner best is able to change its course in a way that is automatic and clean around them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it only has three physical buttons that include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.
The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.

Another standout feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners and clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. The robot is also able to reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by excessive back-and-forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and understand and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous features that make it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also detect the moment when the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive models available, but it packs in many extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mop, utilizes two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is beneficial as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There's a plethora of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning and alter a variety of preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with many features that aren't offered on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
