This mop and vacuum combination is sleek and has a circular design that looks much like a Roomba unit than the boxy models from the competition. It's among our most attractive robot vacuums. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also its smartest. It comes with advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).
It's also the sole robot vacuum or mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is thanks to a mix of high-tech sensors including a structured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads.
The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. best robot vacuum cleaner comes with a simple mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This could be a concern in the mornings before work or at night when you're trying to fall asleep.

The well-designed iRobot application guides you through an initial mapping run that gathers information about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you set on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules, or to create a spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize the most soiled areas for better performance. The app has a range of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.
Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, which means it is able to reach corners and under furniture more easily. It also has strong 8000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs for hair of pets. And you can set up a spot clean that scours a specific area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It is more appealing in its design, similar to Dolce & Gabbana.
