I have been very happy with Oblivion Character Overhaul V2 but when I felt like getting some clothing mods they all have HGEC and Robert's male body as requirement sigh! I just love how robert's female body looks and the version included in setbody is naked only (I prefer not to have a pile of naked dead bodies in my games) If anyone could point me in the right direction, i'd be grateful.
You cannot have both (well, you can have HGEC female and Robert's male, which is what most people use), because of how clothing works in this game. If you are aiming for maximum compatibility, you will want HGEC, it is by far the most used female body mod. If you prefer Robert's Female, feel free to use it, but its less supported overall.

Considering that the Robert Female body and HGEC use a different system to map the body textures onto the mesh there isn't any simple way to use Robert Female bodies and HGEC equipment together without texture problems on exposed skin areas. Looks like HGEC (and HGEC compatibles) is the only supported Seamless now.

I think Robert's female body might be the best quality replacer on the women's side of things, and Roberts is pretty much the only choice on the male side, but why is HGEC is much more popular than Roberts female? it's nigh impossible to find armor mesh edits for RF. What gets me siding with RF is the arms. In HGEC they're unnaturally thin.

Basically I grabbed Robert Male Muscular Stock Clothing and Armor. That's by Senchan that did a bunch of others as well. For the women, I found that Roberts Female v12 - Fixed and PyFFied had clothing included. I found though that searching for Roberts Female yields a bunch of results on Nexus.
As I think most people here will be aware, a lot of custom clothing and armour mods don't really work well with Robert's (at least on the female body), but I have found some that are, for the most part, quite good.

Posted January 15, 2010 Usually trying to use armor or clothes for a different body replacer will have funny results. I tried something for HGEC on Robert's female and what happened was the outfit itself was fine, but the characters skin textures had some bad distortion.
However, if you are using the Roberts Female Fixed version you will need the Roberts female v12 one to use the cloth femaleupperbody and femalelowerbody to overright the equivilent nifs from the Robert Female Fixed version, just install the Roberts Female Fixed version first and then open your oblivion data meshes characters _male folder and ...
Whichever one is compatible, so Robert's for men and either Robert's or HGEC for women. Make sure to follow the installation order - body replacer, then OCO2, then compatibility patches for your choice of body replacer.
