These Rick & Morty cosplays are so on point that you'd swear they were lifted straight from the cartoon!
Ever since it premiered in 2013, Rick and Mort y has been growing in its insane popularity. Whether it be the pair's proclivity for violence and crude humor, or the wildly imaginative supporting cast. Showrunners Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have created a rogues gallery of weird and wonderful space-aliens; from Bird-Person to Squanchy, to ants-in-my-eyes-Johnson. The love for these characters shows through fan-art, internet memes, and, most incredible of all, some of the coolest cosplay ever.
This top-10 list will display the absolute best in Rick and Morty cosplay that is so real we might as well be living in an alternate dimension from the show!
At Number 10, is this cosplay from Instagram user tomhathaway . Evil Rick and Evil Morty look ready to take over the world here. This cosplay is sold even better by the wonderful work done on the wigs, the gaunt white makeup, and drawn on scars.
This outfit is made all the better by the suave black and white suits, and the half-lit cigarette, presenting a sinister, but a cool version of these characters.
Number 9 brings this hilarious cosplay of fan-favorite character Bird-Person from Instagram user thatgypsygeek . This cosplay is made all the more brilliant by the drawn-on pot-belly, and the extremely accurate clothing.
Every detail is here in this costume, from the large hanging wings to the hawk shaped head and thick eyebrows, this is as close to #justiceforbirdperson as we have gotten since his sad fate at the end of Season 2, Episode 10: "The Wedding Squanchers".
Number 8 is brought to us by Instagram user kimmaaahh , and their fellow members of the Council of Ricks. The attention to detail in different hairstyles, to even wearing blue-colored eyebrows goes a long way to bringing the council to life.
With a whole host of wildly shaped wigs, series faithful white robes, and expressions that would make any version of Rick proud, it would be hard not to double-take if you saw this group while out in public!
Number 7 is this astronomical cosplay duo of Super-Nova and Million-Ants, by Instagram user cpt_eleanore . The two space-faring superheroes from the group known as the Vindicators are faithfully rendered in this cosplay.
Super-Nova's galactic super suit and clear-white contacts go a long way to suggesting that she just may have super-powers. Million-Ants looks just as unsettling as he does in the cartoon, and makes a perfect fit to complete this wonderful cosplay.
Number 6 from Instagram user reidoll_cosplay , brings this ensemble of such characters as Summer, Rick, Bird-Person and even the haggard cat creature Squanchy! Bird-Person looks more regal here than he ever has done in costume form.
Masterful make-up, wigs, and costumes bring this wild cast of characters to life. It's hard not to imagine that the characters have jumped through one of Rick's portals right into our world; just be sure not to disturb Squanchy while he's squanching!
You can almost hear number 5, from Instagram user doccanecosplay : "I'm Mr. Meeseeks! Look at me!" This faithful cosplay of the overly eager blue servant is completed by the stressed-out look across his face.
Luckily for the person taking this photo, this Mr. Meeseeks may not be real, but it looks like Jerry has already got his hands on him and asked him to help with his golf swing, best steer-clear from this guy if you see him on the street!
Another cosplay from doccanecosplay is the ever-famous meme Pickle Rick. By the looks of it, this user had the great idea to wear this costume to work, probably frightening his colleagues the moment he stepped through the door! It's hard not to laugh seeing such a wildly unsettling character acting so casual in this office setting.
The crazed eyes of Rick and the gross rat limbs create an uncanny sense of dread. This large green cosplay has brought perhaps the craziest character from the cast right into the real world. Though it's not suggested that you try bringing your Rick and Morty cosplay to work unless you want your co-workers to fear you.
The final post from prolific Instagram user doccanecosplay brings this wonderful cosplay of Rick and Morty as they attempt to escape the claws of Scary Terry. First, it would be crazy not to mention the masterful photography here; the purple-blue lighting, sharp shadows, and saturated colors create a sense of a cartoon come to life.
Secondly, Rick's spiky blue hair, long white lab coat, and even a recreation of the famous portal gun are complimented by a size-accurate cosplay of Morty, looking just as scared as he does on an average episode and a frighteningly rendered mask of Scary Terry. This is absolutely some of the best and most accurate cosplay the series has ever received.
Number 2 in this list brings us to the wild world of Twitter, specifically, this amazing cosplay by user @BooGAYmen . Recreating perhaps the most iconic image from the show, this cosplay truly does look like the cartoon has stepped right off of the television screen!
Make-up is truly the star of the show here, rendering the unsettling image in real life. Morty's stretched eyes and worried frown, and Rick's crazy expression and a glob of saliva across his bottom lip are details that had yet to be so faithfully brought to life, as they have been here.
In the number 1 spot of this list is an absolute treasure, brought to life by Instagram user aachase1401 . Snowball, otherwise known by his slave-name of Snuffles, made his way around MegaCon earlier this year, complete with his bi-pedal mecha suit.
Flashing lights, accurate proportions, and an imposing frame make this the absolute best cosplay that Rick and Morty has seen yet. Of all the cosplays listed here, this has to be the most mind-blowing one. The wonderfully cute Plush-snowball surrounded by a threatening giant mecha was sure to have drawn eyes when it was shown off.

Rick Sanchez is one of the co-main characters of the show Rick and Morty.
1) He’s an alcoholic mad scientist who’s a genius too.
2) He develops arcane projects and works on otherwise wild and groundbreaking science experiments and goes on scientific adventures and what not.
3) He lives with the family of his daughter Beth.
4) And his sidekick is his grandson Morty who he takes with him on his adventures and is the other co-main character of the show.
5) Black belt with brass buckle (buckle not knuckle)
7) Blue mustache pack to be improvised as a unibrow
Alright now let’s talk about the details and specifics. This one will not be too difficult to jury rig or cheapen down a little bit or just simply use as is, but let’s just make sure we have everything down right:
1) Blue shirt, brown khakis, and black sneakers should pretty much already be in your repertoire back home, but in case they’re not here’s some word of advice...the blue shirt should match or closely match the color of the wig as well as the unibrow. We see that Rick’s hair, unibrow, and shirt is almost identical in color (if not actually identical).
2) Belt can actually be jury-rigged with just a separately bought brass buckle. Obviously, you’re going to want to make sure that your buckle and belt are compatible with one another, but that can be done in store oftentimes.
3) While it’s technically possible to be able to use colored hairspray to do your own hair, and maybe some kind of marker or face paint to 'improvise' the unibrow; you should seriously consider if you’d like such an approach. It may backfire pretty badly.
And there’s your 'more detailed' instructions!
