I have never seen this program in Germany. Seems it started to be shown on the TNT comedy channel with subtitles available on a number of German premium pay cable services in 2019. There should be a German dubbed version starting in 2020 until now limited to people with the SKY ticket TV service. Here is an article in German about the subject: 4. What are the best lessons that we can learn from the cartoon "Rick and Morty"?
Rick and Morty is filled with quotes that are awe inspiring, and also different characters throughout the show keep coming up with lines and reaction to situations that make us think.
One of the most wonderful lines ever spoken by Morty are these:
Nobody exists on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere. Everybody's gonna die. Come watch T.V.
It could be depressing to read those lines at first, especially if you think there is a purpose, something grand to your existence, but those lines are a reflection in the mirror of truth

It could be depressing to read those lines at first, especially if you think there is a purpose, something grand to your existence, but those lines are a reflection in the mirror of truth. That’s how life is, now you can get all sad about it, or you could enjoy life. Try watching some T.V.
Another line, spoken by a character who is always shown as a weakling on the show: Jerry.
Life is effort, and I'll stop when I die!
Is another peek into what life is according to this character, and possibly it’s a lot different to what Rick thinks about life. Presumably, Rick’s intelligence makes his life a cake walk, he doesn’t have to struggle to hold onto things like Jerry does. For Jerry without making an effort, there would be no life(the things that matter to him in his life), he cannot just get by doing things like Rick does(drinking, partying, drugs etc). Jerry just blurted these lines out on the show, but there is such a deep meaning to that line.
Rick is an atheist, and his philosophy for life is nihilism, which reflects on in his decisions as well. To him there is nothing in the universe that could possibly be shocking, at best things are mildly interesting for Rick. He overindulges in alcohol, and isn’t the nicest person to be around. In one of the episodes we learn what the sound wubba lubba dub dub mean, and that Rick is actually in great deal of pain.
The fact that being the smartest person in the universe isn’t enough to avoid suffering is really a great lesson, even if you aren’t as smart as Rick. Then we have a simpleton like Jerry, one might say he is the complete opposite of Rick, but still he seems to be happier than Rick. Sure Jerry has family issues, he isn’t the best role model, but who doesn’t have problems, and as he said: “Life’s and effort”, so he is trying to improve his situation relentlessly by making some sort of an effort. While Jerry is happy with just small pleasures such as love of his wife, respect from kids, being able to do excel at his work etc. No matter how big an adventure Rick may go on, he still seems unchanged, for him happiness is a fleeting pleasure in the moment itself. While Jerry wakes up everyday to experience happiness in little ways he expects to, almost in anticipation.
We have two contrasting characters on the show, from both of them we can learn something.
The other characters chip in time to time, with their own troubles. We are almost seeing Rick through the eyes of teenage Morty. We also see the care Rick has for Morty under his hard cold self. I think it was a great lesson for anyone who thought Rick was one dimensional. Goes to show how people have can have subtleties in them, how a stone cold human on the outside could be deeply in pain on the inside.

I don't think so at all and I'm not shy about calling a show overrated if I think it receives more praise than I think it deserves.
I really think anyone who tries to get into the show should sit down and watch 3-5 episodes. At first glance, any viewer can get the impression that the show is just sophomoric with gross out gags, especially when Rick regularly has drool around his mouth. It's not until someone watches a few episodes where they realize that this is far from the truth.

I find Rick and Morty to be one of the most hilarious and well-written shows on TV. The dialogue and the concepts are top notch and I suspect a lot of thought gets put into every episode.
For example, Look Who's Purging Now can just be seen as a parody of The Purge and an excuse for violence at first glance and the movie is directly referenced in the episode. However, there were a ton great jokes while also revealing more about Rick and Morty and even Jerry and Summer in the B-plot. Rick was even worried about Morty after seeing just how much repressed rage he had and lied to Morty for his own good at the end of the episode. His character is safe after all. Jerry and Summer's plot took a swerve after it looked like Jerry was just trying to reconnect with Summer while she appeared to be correct about Jerry doing it because he was bored due to his unemployment. It was later revealed that Jerry was trying to butter her up and essentially make her feel obligated to lend him money. This was sad even for Jerry and it was made worse by the fact that we later found out he needed the money to pay for his phone calls from his fake friend which was a whole new low, although great for Taddy Mason who came out the big winner in all of this. I don't generally think children should speak to their parents this way but Morty's "Holy shit Dad, shut the fuck up!" while on the phone with Summer was appropriate.
There was also the season 2 premiere where there were a ton of things going on that even the most observant viewers would have a tough time absorbing everything. I don't want to spoil anything from this episode because I think it was one of the most ambitious episodes of TV I've ever seen and I think it needs to be approached without any prior knowledge. I wonder how long it took to make that episode.
I now think what I wrote here may not be enough. I really think I need Mr. Meeseeks to explain the brilliance of this show.

Why was Rick and Morty cancelled? It was so popular, why wasn’t it renewed for another season?
Question: Why was Rick and Morty cancelled? It was so popular, why wasn’t it renewed for another season?
It hasn’t been cancelled. It seems that Dan Harmon is playing hard ball as far as money and it’s taking time for Cartoon Network to come to deal that is acceptable to both parties. That may take some time and, frankly, they may not have the “readies” to afford the series any longer.
Netflix has changed the playing field for many producers. While Cartoon Network is part of Time-Warner, they haven’t been spending the money that Netflix has to attract new talent and to retain profitable series.

Netflix has changed the playing field for many producers. While Cartoon Network is part of Time-Warner, they haven’t been spending the money that Netflix has to attract new talent and to retain profitable series. Given the massive success of the series (especially Season 3) it’s possible that Harmon has been receiving a great deal of interest from other outlets and he may be using that as leverage in his negotiations with Viacom. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that Harmon has tried this (See also Community)
It doesn’t seem that Rick & Morty is cancelled. It does seem that it may be more than a few years before it returns to the air, not only because of the negotiations, but because the amount of time that it takes to create animated series. If it does return to the air, I wouldn’t expect it before late 2019 or mid-2020 at the earliest.
NOTE: I disabled comments to this answer as I wrote it BEFORE the series was renewed. It has been renewed; however many people were too lazy to look at the date when I originally wrote this before leaving a comment.

What is your favorite episode(s) of Rick and Morty and why?
Summer gets a job with the Devil, and of course his items are cursed. They give you something good, and in return you pay the price for it. With Rick being smart, the Devil gave Rick a microscope that would have made him stupid. As slick as Rick is, he made a device that takes away the evil of the objects.
What I love is Rick's competition of taking away the Devil's business. While people did buy the items, they headed across the street to have their items no longer cursed. Not wanting to spend his time at the shop, Rick just burned everything.

After running into some bugs, Rick lands on a planet to buy some windshield wiper fluid. They learn from the locals that there is a festival, and that Rick and Morty should leave before sun down. Rick decided to watch the Purge, only to get caught up in it when Morty wanted to save a girl.
This episode is definitely a horror movie type episode, one I would watch than the movie itself. Morty goes nuts and a little overboard, all thanks to a candy bar that he ate.
Possibly everyone's favorite, Rick and Morty take a break from adventure after a six day trip. At the end of it all, Rick and Morty head to an alien spa to refresh themselves. After a supposed malfunction of a machine, their toxins are removed. It comes to a Toxic Rick who seems very nasty, and a Toxic Morty who is always extremely frightened.
In a way it's like a battle within yourself, but Morty and Rick couldn't be without them. It's also seeing Rick lose it for the first time, despite looking forward to adventures.
With Summer along for the ride, Rick and Morty end up on a post-apocalyptic planet. It makes fun of the movie Mad Max Thunderdome, with the arena called a blood done. Rick is intent on getting the Stone they have, and meanwhile Summer falls in love with the leader.
I tend to love post-apocalyptic things, so this episode was pretty cool. Summer got a taste of married life, however she definitely wasn't happy that her husband never helped out. Finally going home to Earth, Rick takes revenge by taking away the power.
Rick is inside his own head, while Summer and Morty go to save him from the Federation Prison. Rick explains to the alien about how the portal gun came to be, and the death of Diane and Beth. It turns out his story of his family was fabricated, and that Rick is in control of his mind.
I still can't get over how clever Rick is. During this episode, he went through many Ricks to stay alive. It was an action packed episode, that's for sure.
While Beth, Jerry, and Summer deal with their advanced dog Snuffles, Rick and Morty are in a dream world. Rick wants Morty's teacher to give the boy an A+ in Math, and so enters the teacher's head through a device. They soon end up going through multiple dreams, before facing Scary Terry. Terry soon went from bad to good, helping out Rick to get Morty that A+.
Despite being a parody of Lawnmower Man, it had that feel of Planet of the Apes. The dogs became intelligent, and no longer wanting to have human masters. Thankfully it ended well, Snuffles deciding that him and the other dogs belong somewhere else.
Rick is called in by the President to get rid of a little alien, him bringing along Morty. Meeting the President in person, Morty wanted to get a selfie with him. Even though it was denied, both Rick and Morty had to deal with the little alien. When they failed miserably they decided to leave, Rick wanting to continue playing Minecraft. The President becomes angry at mainly Rick, causing a fight between the two.
The whole Rick vs. the President was entertaining, along with David Keith's voice as the President.

A common 14 year old tries to know about his surroundings and hopes for bad things to disappear, He sometimes thinks what would he do if he could control the world which we can see in evil Morty, what steps can he take to gain attention from his crush Jessica which one time he thinks too much excess that he actually destroys his own reality, what various possibilities of life forms could be living till the infinity and beyond or even in front of him like the miniverse, could there be universe inside a universe, what would he look like if he was half mantis or centepede or teddy bear or within Hitlers rule and many many many more.
Morty probably thinks if his dad Jerry Smith as a total failure maybe because he couldn't give much time to him or regular fighting between him and his mother which effects his mind or his dad treats him in a very harshe way or Mr. Jerry could actually be a failure who lives at home all day, tries to make everything better for his family but fails miserably. Morty even thinks of spending time with his dad sometimes but in his mind, his dad is such a failure that he ends up making fun of him.
As a child it is very common to think "mom used to love me before but now she has changed". His mother Mrs. Beth Smith could actually be a doctor but he doesn't know what stuff she operates so he takes it as horse and deers as just smaller version of horses. His opinion on changed mother could clearly be seen in clone episode, he takes his mother as nature lover who helps everybody but she got frustrated so much of her own family that she left him and Rick created a clone of her to provide Morty mother's love but at some points when he becomes angry at her or she screams at him, he couldn't accept it, somewhere in his mind he thinks she has changed.
