AMC’s hit series Better Call Saul recently aired its mid-season finale with a jaw-dropping conclusion. As fans await the upcoming few episodes of season six, Kim Wexler star Rhea Seehorn opened up about making her directorial debut and detailed its challenges.
As Better Call Saul is the prequel series of Netflix's highly acclaimed show Breaking Bad, there was not a single mention nor sighting of Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn).
Which left many fans surprised as she was introduced in the pilot episode of Better Call Saul as the wife of criminal defence attorney Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk).
As the series has begun to draw closer to the beginnings of Breaking Bad many fans have questioned what will happen to Kim when the final instalment of Better Call Saul returns.
As well as being on the screens Rhea Seehorn stepped behind the cameras for the first time and made her directorial debut.
The actress lifted the lid on her experience during an interview with GoldDerby and stated: “I’m very driven as an actor and director.
“But in both, you want to get to a place where you’re confident enough to let your homework go once you get there, let things surprise you.”
She added: “Take the best idea in the room even if it's not one that you plotted.”
Seehorn explained: “As an actor after all these years, I’m more comfortable doing that as a director.
“Fortunately, I was surrounded by master craftsmen in every department, so there’s never a shortage of brilliant ideas.
She continued: “I did a lot of doodling though, I did drawings because for directing, I had trouble.
“For directing, I don’t know lenses and camera language so I would do drawings and also describe to Paul Donachie [camera operator] the feeling I wanted out of the scene.”
Seehorn had directed the fourth episode of season six titled ‘Hit and Run,’ although she played a vital role behind the scenes, she also starred on-screen as her character Kim.
Viewers watched as she confronted two men in a car who she believed were following her.
However, it was later revealed Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan) had hired the men to follow her as she was a threat against Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton) and wasn't dead.
Mike found Kim at the El Camino diner and informed her that he was the one who hired the men to follow her.
Speaking to a Hollywood reporter, Seehorn was asked about directing her co-star Bob Odenkirk during the episode.
To which she responded: “Obviously, I don’t need to tell him how to play it funny, and I don’t even need to tell him how to find the truth in the scene.
“He’s a genius drama actor as well, but it was fun collaborating with him.”
Thankfully for fans the wait for episode eight isn’t bad as Better Call Saul will return to screens in July.
Better Call Saul season six, part two returns to AMC on Monday, July 11. A UK release date is yet to be announced.

For close to 20 years , Mr. Skin has been the online source of hundreds upon thousands of nudity-related photos and videos -- typically from film and television. Created by Jim McBride, it is a site that's reportedly visited more than nine million times in a given month, and it has only grown more prominent in the new millennium. But it is also the source of controversy , particularly when a few of its photos come from questionable sources. As it turns out, some of the content posted on the site is being legally scrutinized at the moment, with representatives for Miley Cyrus , Nicole Kidman and Better Call Saul 's Rhea Seehron taking the adult entertainment site to court over what they feel is a federal lawsuit in the making. Here's what we know.
As it was reported by The Wrap , SK Intertainment, the company which houses Mr. Skin, as well as other nudity-related sites like Egotastic, What Would Tyler Durden Do? (WWTDD), and a few others, is being taken to court over a copyright infringement lawsuit. The lawsuit claims that the company, more specifically Mr. Skin, illegally posted copyrights photos on their site without proper accreditation or use. In particular, a racy photograph of Miley Cyrus dressed in lingerie while being spanked by the Easter Bunny is being taken to task, with the attornies claiming Mr. Skin did not have the right to post it.
The suit was filed in federal court on Wednesday in California. Specifically, Creative Photographers, Inc., a photo agency, and Lickerish, a photographic syndication company, are taking SK Intertainment, particularly Mr. Skin, to court for these legal discrepancies. They claim copyright infringements were made for this particular photo, as well as snapshots of Nicole Kidman, Rhea Seehorn and potentially a few other celebrities. And there might be the possibility that when this case is presented before the court, they might find other photos under their copyright have also been used on the adult site.
Since this matter is an ongoing legal dispute, the details will be forthcoming. It's hard to know how things will shake up, but there is a chance that the well-visited site Mr. Skin might soon be coughing up a good bit of dough-- if they can't defend the use of these photographs on their nudity-based site.
Mr. Skin has become well-known over the years not only through its popularity online but through its presence in the popular 2007 comedy Knocked Up . In the legal case, the photo company brings up the trademark company's appearance in the Judd Apatow flick, basically claiming that they should know better at this point as a highly-viewed website and that Mr. Skin potentially ignored the copyright laws for their own professional benefit.
In any case, this legal matter with Mr. Skin will continue in the months to come, and we will keep you posted on the details whenever they arrive.

Odenkirk, Seehorn, and Dalton were also seen posing together with the creators of the show.
The show's cast members are certainly very close, and in a recent interview with Variety Seehorn discussed how terrifying Odenkirk's heart attack was to witness.
Odenkirk was with Seehorn and Patrick Fabian (who plays Howard Hamlin) at the time, and the two stars quickly assisted him with getting medical help.
'There’s so many things that day, and I know Bob feels the same way, that are just like gifts from the universe. I don’t know how else to put it, because he didn’t go to his trailer. If he had, he would be dead, or significantly brain damaged,' she said.
All together: The cast members posed with the creators of the show
'We ran to catch him because it’s a concrete floor and didn’t want him to hit his head, and then realized that something much bigger was going on. We realized that he was having some kind of cardiac arrest... We were in shock. It was awful. We didn’t know if he was going to make it, even after they got him to the hospital.'
Thankfully, he was able to make a recovery and continue filming the Better Call Saul series, created by Vince Gilligan and Gould.
The show is a spin-off, prequel, and a sequel to Gilligan's previous hit show, Breaking Bad, which also starred Odenkirk.
The crime drama follows Jimmy McGill (Odenkirk), a former con man who is working to become an attorney, and ends up turning into a very flamboyant criminal lawyer as he changes his name of Saul Goodman.
The show airs on AMC in the US and on Netflix in the UK. The second half of season 6 is set to premiere on July 11, 2022.
