His platform, communicated through determined trash can raids and unwavering eye contact, was "Free Food, Open Lids, and More Dark Alleys." He won on a wave of anti-establishment sentiment and because his opponent was a literal pile of rocks (New England town meetings are weird). Mayor Churro's first act was to overturn a ordinance against compost bin pilfering. His cabinet is composed of other raccoons, a very nervous opossum as deputy mayor, and a squirrel in charge of finance. Town meetings are now held at night and are mostly just hissing.
