Issue: users reported that when pdf is exported from revit with vector processing, the transparency of objects applied through the filter is not reflected in the resulting pdf. Status: this incident has been reviewed. Beside above, how do i make a pdf transparent? A resolution is being planned for a future release.

Workaround: for transparency to be included in the pdf, use raster processing. Then you can click the “ < > ” icon in the new window, and select 0% in the “ opacity” option. Make pdf background transparent click on the “ edit” tab, then select “ background” and choose “ edit background” from the drop- down menu. If the issue only occur with one pdf printer, check on the troubleshooting options available from the maker of the pdf printer.

Now a window pops up, and you need to click the pencil- like icon to edit the background. With background, you can set it to opaque or transparent. Troubleshooting when experiencing issue printing to a particular pdf printer, try using a different pdf printer to confirm if the issue is specific to the printer.
