So I am in the Army and I was married. I was approaching my first deployment to Iraq.
It was very stressful and it had my wife wanting me to find a way to stay and not deploy. Obvious things any wife would try to talk about. Anyways so we have no kids but both want them. So we talk about getting out of debt while I'm gone.
She talks to her best friend back home in another state where we are both from. Her friend agrees to let her move in and charge a modest 300 in rent so that we can get out of debt and start a family when I come back. A plan I was actually very pleased with.
I deploy she is there crying her eyes out saying she will miss me and loves me and we will start a family when we get back.
Fast forward 2 months. She starts acting distant. Not wanting to talk much on our scheduled calls or text back one or two word answers. We've been together 6 years she is never at a loss for words.
Anyway one day she says I need some space... she asked someone who is 10,000 miles away for space. I say why she says she just needs space. She wants to "find herself." So I remember back when we lived at home she had a guy who was always being borderline inappropriate. I'm not a very jealous person and I trust her. So I start seeing said guy on in basically all her pictures she posts with a group. Everytime he is in the picture. Everyone else changes but never him.
So for the first time I'm very jealous and uneasy about everything. So I clone her phone so I recieve every text she recieves as well as every text she sends. I'll never forget the first text I saw after cloning her phone.
"Hey babe, I'll see you after work want me to save you any of my leftovers?"
From her to him. It destroyed me. I lost 35 pounds in a week. I didn't eat or sleep I stared at the phone watching every conversation. Watching them talk about trying to have a baby. It was literally everything a married person fears.
I ask her if she is seeing someone and she says no she isn't. She is taking care of her self and she loves me blah blah. I don't say anything about recieving her texts for 2 months. Over this time she finally admits cheating and that he is so much better than me at sex, treating her right, and he does what she wants.
During this time she pays our debt off, gets tattoos with him (matching I love you tattoos), goes to shows with him, buying clothes ect. With the money I'm making. So this is where revenge starts.
I put a freeze on the account for a month in that time I change every password to every account to things she won't guess (Army jargon slang terms). I block her on fb and my phone so she has no way to contact me. She lost her car to repo a few months later, got kicked out of her place, had to sell her prized shoes and purses just to stay alive.
I then find out she got a job at her old restaurant. So I post all the text conversations I have with her and the guy talking about having babies that have time stamps on it as well as post conversations we had with the matching time stamps showing all of our friends what she has done. I then have friends call and complain at her job constantly on both he and her. They work at a restaurant so I also have friends dine and dash. They both get fired.
So she tries to call my command and tell them that I am abandoning her and she cant provide for herself. My commander knows what is going on. He does nothing because he had something similar happen. Then about a month before I come back she calls me from another number to tell me she is pregnant with his kid. Mind you I'm still gone so we cannot get divorced yet.
She moved away with him. 10 hours from me.
April 24 2018. She calls me 5 months pregnant crying uncontrollably asking me where she should go. Apparently they have a giant blow up fight she tells him she is leaving. She says she doesn't know where to go and I simply say "Sorry not my problem anymore."
Fast forward January of this year. She calls me from a mutual friends phone.
Me: "Maybe, you don't cheat on your husband when he is deployed for some guy who talks a big game."
Her: "Well I guess you are happy about this?"
Me: "No but I'm glad I know I'm not the bad guy in this story."
Her: "He is cheating on me with 2 girls. I'm sorry. I regret everything I did. I fucked it all up."
All in all this woman destroyed my life. Put me into a deep depression I'm still dealing with. But I do feel a little better having proof that I wasn't the problem. To think if this happened even 10 or 5 years ago I would have come back to a empty bank account, an empty house, as well as seeing my then wife pregnant with another man's baby. She actually hit me up yesterday to ask for some money to help cover rent...
I realized I left out that we got divorced before the kid was born so I have no financial responsibility to her haven't now for almost a year.
I mainly used Tmobile's Digits service to clone the phone. Google it I don't feel like typing it.
Also no I wasn't celebrating that she was physically abused I did tell her to call the cops but that's all I did. It's not right to abuse someone but I also have no responsibility to watch out for her well being.
Sometimes it is best to simply let them wreck their own lives. She did. Well executed sir.
Yea she did. I never thought I'd hear her say "I really fucked up i had it good." But hearing it did feel a little better.
Sometimes you have to leave people to their own devices, cause their own stupidity will be their downfall
And when they wreck their lives they have the audacity to try to return or ask you for help.
It might seem petty, but I wouldn't help someone that screwed with me.Some people would say to "be the better person", but there is a difference in being better and being dumb/a doormat.
Someone who prizes shoes and purses when they are trying to save to start a family is immature at best, shallow at worst. You may not have realized what kind of person she really is, but she showed you. You dodged a bullet, buddy! My wish for you is next time you’ll find a woman with some substance who already learned life’s lessons.
Yea definitely. She had 3 purses that were 1k a piece. And multiple shoes that were 300+. But yet I was a bad husband... oh and just for more context. I bought a PS4 (I already had a xbox) she lost her shit exclaiming it was a waste of money. Yea totally waste like those purses you have that do so much.
Dodged a bullet? Dude dodged a fucking Nuke! I hate shallow women that blow their money on shit! Get yaself a homely woman bro! I'm so hapoy about my other half! She puts everyone else first all the time! Best of luck bro! The right woman will come in good time!
I remembered the exact date for a reason. It was extremely satisfying
Thank you. I mean there was a few arguments I left out I felt it was getting a tad long. But yea it was tough but my friend reminded me I had all the cards.
Don't mess with someone who is basically gives you money and provides for you just because they leave because basically they will crap on your life.
Yea a friend of mine told me they asked her why she wont leave the guy and she just said I need him to live right now. Lol
I tell you what its amazing how much money you have when someone else isnt spending it.
Dude, you dodged a bullet. My ex husband (he cheated) was a Marine. But when we were together, he went on a 7 month deployment to Okinawa. One of the guys he was deployed with came back to an empty, trashed apartment (cat piss and shit everywhere, pot roaches, used condoms, another man's camis) and his wife was 4 months pregnant. His bank account was empty and he was on the hook for several months worth of unpaid bills.
Yea I have friends who I grew up with whose mom just left one day. Dad was deployed and mom dropped them off (3 brothers) at the on base day care and never came back. The oldest was I think 7 the youngest was 2. How do people do that. Like I couldn't imagine doing that to anyone let alone my children.

I've been betrayed multiple times in my life, and each time I have felt the desire to seek revenge and retribution.
Revenge is payback; a way of settling the score and administering retribution. It can be something trivial and fleeting, or it can consume you and last many years. Sometimes revenge is in the form of a prank, is actually quite funny, and no harm is done by it. Sometimes revenge takes a completely different form with nothing funny about it, harm being done, and criminal activity involved.
Of all the types of revenge, the affairs of the heart appear to cause the greatest need for revenge. That being the case, that is what I'm focusing on here even though work-related revenge is what made me want to write this.
When we are wronged by someone we care about, our reaction is to seek vengeance and get payback. However, it goes deeper than that, as feelings of anger and spitefulness are a natural response to betrayal.
Keep in mind that you have to be incredibly careful if you decide to get revenge on someone as many of the things you want to do to them are illegal and could get you in trouble. Destroying their property or harassing them are two options that cross that line. In just about every case, taking your vengeance to that level is a bridge too far and will cause more problems than solutions.
Also, keep in mind that if you do something terrible to someone else they may seek to get revenge against you, continuing a cycle of vengeance. They may see to raise the stakes even high and do something even worse to you.
There are plenty of methods for exacting some sweet revenge on someone that has wronged you. The most important thing to consider is who they are as a person and what will devastate them the most. Personalizing your revenge will give you the best opportunity to get back at that person.
Breakups are difficult, and emotions tend to run high, so you may feel the need to get back at your ex. Here are some methods for getting revenge on your ex.
If your significant other cheated on you, that is a massive breach of trust and if getting back at them for betraying you is something you want to do, here are some creative ideas.
Wanting to get revenge on someone who wronged you is a natural response for anyone to have. But why do we feel this way? Are feelings of anger and spitefulness natural even in people who are not prone to anger or bitterness?
We are hardwired to develop social bonds with other people, and when we are betrayed by those people and that trust is broken, our reaction is to want to make them suffer. When it comes to most revenge plots, this happens to be the case. Rarely do we ever think about getting back at a stranger who has wronged us; it is typically when we are betrayed by someone we care about that we feel the need to get revenge.
Initially, the idea of getting revenge seems pleasurable to us, that if we make the other person suffer the way they made us suffer that our suffering will decrease. And while vengeance may feel great at the moment, it actually prolongs the feelings of anger and resentment.
If someone exacts revenge on you, it may be tempting to retaliate. However, retaliation will only continue the cycle of vengeance. Your best option is to remain calm and not respond. If the person did something illegal, you should pursue legal action.
As I have already talked about, you have to understand the consequences and ramifications of getting revenge on someone. What are you trying to accomplish and what will be the outcome? If you get your revenge is that somehow going to make the pain and anger go away, or will it amplify it?
In many cases, you will realize that ultimately getting revenge on someone that wronged you will not make you feel any better and that the best approach is to forget about the whole incident or forgive the person who wronged you.
Doing something that causes significant damage to the other person or their property will only make things worse. While it may seem like the best option while in the throes of passion and anger, once those raw emotions dissipate over time, you will realize there is a better option for exacting your revenge, which is forgiveness.
As trite as it is going to sound, the best revenge is to forgive, live well, and succeed. The immediate satisfaction is not there; I will definitely grant you that. You know the one I'm talking about. The one you dream about, the one you fantasize about when you are thinking about which revenge you are going to use, and you are picturing the reaction, the stun on their smug face. But the satisfaction is fleeting and will only come back and bite you in the end (either financially or emotionally).
Many people say that "living well is the best revenge," and it is true: if you focus on living your best life that will yield the best outcome for you. While it may be hard to do that at first, continuing to pursue vengeance will only lead to more anger and frustration.
When you do something spiteful, you might as well go to the other person in tears and lay down on the ground in front of them and let them walk all over you. You are letting them know that you are devastated and that they have an emotional hold on you.
So we have established that the spiteful revenge, although briefly satisfying, is definitely not the best approach. By carrying the need for revenge, you are keeping yourself from moving on and healing.
I think the only way to move on from this type of situation is to forgive. Talk about the hardest thing in the world! It is easy to forgive people you like, but to forgive someone who has betrayed you deeply and doesn't even care is much harder. Until you forgive them, you will not be able to move on. Instead, you will be trapped in a cycle of anger and resentment.
One of the hardest things to do is to let go of your hate and other negative emotions. However, in order to move on with your life, you have to purge yourself of those feelings. Giving into those negative emotions will not make your situation any better. Focusing on staying positive and making improvements in your life is the approach you have to take.
Now, the forgiving part is not instant. It is not something that you can just wake up one day and say okay, I forgive them, all the anger and resentment is gone. You make the decision that way, but you have to remind yourself that you have forgiven them when the hard feelings swell up. Keep telling yourself that you forgive them, pray to forgive them, and eventually, you will realize that you mean it and that you really do forgive them.
The next part is easier. Once you can move past what happened, live well and succeed. The reason this is easier is that you are not carrying the baggage of anger, which is extremely heavy baggage. Now, everyone's definition of living well and succeeding is different. Mine is being happy; enjoying life. No person should count on another person for happiness. Be happy with yourself and who you are. The rest is just topping on the cake. It is much better to be happy by yourself than be miserable with someone else, trust me on this one.
When you seek revenge, you dig two graves.

An interesting story of how a husband organized a surprise for his cheating wife has recently been circulating on the internet. Although the story might not actually be true since its origin remains unknown, it sure is entertaining.
While a man was sure his significant other was cheating on him, how to approach the situation was still a problem. He finally figured out the perfect way to confront his wife. His solution took a lot of thought and some shrewd planning. His intention was to let everyone in on the fact that it was his wife who was messing up their marriage.
He had a feeling his wife was cheating, especially since she set off several red flags. She constantly smiled and laughed when texting, and always told him it was her mother when asked. She also had to stay at work late every night, yet her co-workers always said she had left hours ago. Whenever he confronted his wife and asked what was going on, she would just laugh it off. She said it was something they all frequently did to one another at the office.
However, he knew with certainty that something was up when his wife went out for milk at 11:30 pm. She did not return until about two in the morning. For him, it was the last straw. He’d waited months before confronting his wife because he wanted to collect as much evidence as possible. He also needed time to make the necessary arrangements, which included finding a new place to live.
He wanted to get back at her and decided her birthday, only months away, would be a perfect time. His wife had insisted that he goes out of town with friends after he had asked her what she wanted for her birthday. Her reason was that apart from not wanting to be reminded that she was aging, she also had to work. However, he found two glasses and a bottle of champagne hidden in his closet. It was a clear sign that something was up and something in him snapped.
He, therefore, did what any sensible man would do under the same circumstances. He left and went to his friend’s house, making it seem like he was actually going out of town. However, he called up his wife’s entire family and several of her friends while at his friend’s house. He told all of them that he wanted to give his significant other a big birthday surprise. The surprise involved sneaking into their room with kazoos, party streamers, and a large cake with candles. To everyone else, the plan sounded like a lot of fun, and so it was.
He had everyone meet him outside their apartment at 8:30 am, and all of them piled into the elevator. They were about eight in total, and his wife’s mother was the one holding the cake. While reminding them to be as quiet as possible, he unlocked the door to their house using his key. They all sneaked in and slowly made their way down the hall and towards the bedroom. He threw open the bedroom while his wife’s mom held the cake grinning, and they all yel
