In the small, sleepy town of Maplewood, there was a dusty old video store called 'Retro Reels'—the last of its kind. The owner, a grizzled cinephile named Vincent 'Vinnie' Monroe, had spent his life collecting rare VHS tapes and forgotten film reels. His passion project? A YouTube channel called 'Retro Movie Reviews,' where he dissected obscure 70s and 80s films with dry wit and encyclopedic knowledge.

One rainy evening, a mysterious woman in a trench coat slipped a battered film canister onto Vinnie’s counter. 'You’re the only one who can review this,' she whispered before vanishing into the night.

Curious, Vinnie loaded the reel—a supposed lost 1982 horror flick called 'Midnight at the Eclipse Drive-In.' As he watched, strange things began happening. His TV flickered with static even when unplugged. Shadows moved on their own. And worst of all—the film’s villain, a grinning usher named 'The Projectionist,' started appearing in Vinnie’s videos.

His subscribers thought it was an elaborate bit. But Vinnie knew the truth: the movie was cursed. Every review brought the Projectionist closer to the real world. Desperate, Vinnie dug into the film’s history, uncovering a dark secret—the original cast and crew had disappeared after the premiere.

With the help of his only loyal viewer, a film student named Lena, Vinnie raced to perform one final review—a live breakdown of the film’s alternate ending, hidden on a second reel. If they could expose the truth before midnight, they might break the curse.

As the clock ticked down, the Projectionist’s laughter echoed through Retro Reels. The camera feed glitched. The lights died. And then—silence.

The next morning, fans found Vinnie’s channel updated with a new video: 'Retro Review: Midnight at the Eclipse Drive-In (FINAL CUT).' In it, Vinnie and Lena sat calmly, reviewing the film as if nothing had happened. But sharp-eyed viewers noticed something odd—in the background, the Projectionist stood smiling… now part of the Retro Reels staff.
