“But I think not only African athletes, but Africans [in general] have something, which is their strength, the mental [strength]. I don't know; maybe some people will be offended, but in Africa, we used to say, “Nothing is impossible for an African.” You understand? And I know when our athletes are going like that, of course, they know when you talk about normal Olympic games, people know about football, people know about racing, people know about tennis, people do, but for an African athlete to participate in winter Olympic games is a big challenge. A big challenge for himself, a big challenge because he knows he will change something in the history of the sport of his country.”
