i resigned and came back under the impression that the HR team here at dovedale would fix communication, and address the laundry list of issues they had created themselves. they did not. i will never tolerate arrogance towards my coworkers, or myself. attached is a photo (first photo) of HR being alerted to an issue they had ignored, with a member of HR responding arrogantly. they are referring to a post they made in staff notices, which have issues on them we as a staff team brought up. of course, they had swept this under the rug in favor of development. furthermore, no-one actually gets punished for not responding to calls - the button works by the way. i will also not sit down and tolerate corruption - as shown in the second image by refusing to take any action against flowery for sending death threats to the staff team. to the dovedale HR team - if you cannot keep a good staff team, dovedale will fail. you have told me 'communication has been horrible since the game started' (ella), yet you have made no attempt to improve. also, it really doesn't look good when you raye, say that you "hate mods" in a ticket (third image) you thought was closed off to admins. the reason your communication is so shit is because your own staff team hates you, yet won't say it. i would like to add that ella left because the rest of HR wouldn't allow her to do her job, and that the staff team and hr team had a lack of professionalism. effective 10 minutes from this message, i resign from my position as an administrator at dovedale. thank you all for a great 5 months on the staff team.

FORMAL RESIGNATION NOTICE
- Hello everybody, today I'm going to file a resignation notice as I'm no longer looking forward to working with the team. Unfortunately, I've been through many negative experiences and stressful encounters with the management team which I no longer wish to put up with. This resignation notice is in effect immediately and this is going to be the end of my employment as a developer for Dovedale. Unfortunately, it's disappointing to say things have gone this way as I was planning to give access to my home lab servers for Dovedale to allow further development and ease of operations for the team, however this is no longer of my concern. In this notice, I'd like to go over the issues I've faced and disliked and what essentially convinced me to send this notice. Here are the biggest of them: Aggression to Project: Goobersville: will be a major part of my resignation, as it influences or is influenced by the next two points. Ever since I've started working on making a silly small station for people to enjoy, the HR team was against it because it "made the game look bad", so, we went above and beyond to make it look good. Absolutely EVERYBODY loved it. Everybody, except the staff team. Nobody had anything against it and existing issues were addressed later. We were happy to bring joy to the community. In the end, after excessively aggressive acting from the HR team, the last ever Goobersville was built a month ago. Which, makes me come to the next point:
- Lack of further chance for self-development: Unfortunately, the project had ruined my reputation within the team, which is absolutely my fault, yes, but it still contributes to my resignation. I've been looking for a chance to someday progress the ranks and give my vision on the issue. However, because of the project, my chances have been essentially voided, as the current HR members would be strictly against me ever becoming a part of management, as they simply dislike me for putting up a fight against their choices.
- Lack of professionalism in upper management: This one is not directed soley at Raye, but he plays a major part in this story - Raye, ever since I've joined the developer team, he has NOT ONCE made any contribution to the management team nor did he properly administrate or coordinate the developer team, which is surprising - especially for a role of "Head Developer". Raye has made absurd rules for developers that now forbid us from using the debug developer console or to use f3x for anything other than debugging which is unfortunate, as majority of us are volunteers that do not get paid. Our only payment is simply entertainment, and the more and more restrictive rules took away even that. However, Raye appearently does not need to abide by any of the rules we have to, and constantly abuses that excessively: For example, there has been an incident where he server-banned a MODERATOR (Chiyuki) for a small thing - accidentally derailing his train.
- Increasingly strict work environment: As I've mentioned before, we do not get paid. Developers can choose to get paid, but for me, this was never about the money. I enjoy spending time with people in Dovedale and hanging out, as money was never within my interest as a developer. I was doing what I enjoy and then having fun with my friends in game by messing around. Unfortunately the new rules slowly take away our privileges to do anything could be potentially mildly disturbing, leaving us with essentially nothing to do other than to moderate the game. Yes, it's okay - but it made my experience far less enjoyable ever since. Seeing the current trend and the vision of the Head of Staff that this is an "organization" forgets to realise that none of the staff gets paid for what they do. Unfortunately this situation made me less interested in playing and contributing to the game.
What triggered my resignation?
Yesterday, a new HOS has been hired, and so far their mindset has greatly disappointed me. They have split the staff into many departments and essentially made 4 more high ranked members, 2 of them being development department administration (which Raye isn't even listed in, which makes me feel that his role is ever more obsolete than before, proving my fact it is essentially a free-rank) in addition to throwing Enews from a role "management director" to "department director". All these changes make no sense, and makes the administration of the game too big for what is actually needed compared to the small size of the game. This had unfortunately made me realise the HOS, instead of fixing existing major issues, is fixing issues that don't even exist. The HOS along with all of the new department management were handpicked in less than 2 hours, without a chance to apply, where certain of these handpicks were certainly questionable at least. Furthermore, blu has added his concerns about the current HOS that he lacks experience and has been mostly inactive. I am not going to add any stuff that Blu had already covered, as it's all true. The sheer amount of corruption and immaturity of the HR team is disappointing, and the re-employment of flowery even though she broke all sorts of rules, from kicking me from the game while handling a report on HER all the way to death threats to the staff members. Thanks to Blu for standing up to these issues, enough is enough. Special thanks to these people: @SpriteMan - Administrator For being on my side and supporting me ever since I became friends with him, and helping me out with the Goobersville Project.
@enews - Community Director For defending me throughout my employment and being a supportive friend throughout all the stressful situations I have been through with the HR team.
- I cannot possibly express how glad I am that I came by these people over my employment, and they were the people that brought me the most joy throughout my stay here. I sincerely hope for the best for Dovedale and it's future and aswell to Jaiden, as it's not her fault even though she takes all the blame for it, however with the current management I believe this is going nowhere. I may reconsider rejoining dovedale one day, if things do change for the better. But I believe it is unlikely, as my friends have either resigned, plan to resign, or will probably fall out of touch with me by that time. However, thank you all for being here for me throughout this chaotic time. Thanks for reading. ~gabrykot, former developer

- Hello everyone, I never thought that I'd make a decision like this, but due to a multitude of reasons and some recent events, I've decided to file a resignation notice from my Administrator position here at Dovedale. My resignation notice is going in effect on 2 hours ago. My journey with Dovedale as a staff member, which started at the beginning of November, was certainly an eventful and interesting one and it is unfortunate that it has to end like this. I've had the chance One of the main reasons behind this decision is the lack of any major response from the HR team to all sorts of problems that have been reported by various staff members. Here, I would like to point out some of my main concerns: The hypocrisy of HR when dealing with similar situations, yet different staff members:
- For this point, I'd like to use an example of certain staff members (which names I will keep anonymous) having a lot of fun in the game and deciding it would be fine to leave the server in a chaotic state instead of performing a small cleanup after they were done. I personally had joined that server an hour after the aforementioned staff members decided to leave the server in a disrupted state (while it wasn't anything major, they could've cleaned up after themselves). Under normal circumstances, they would've received a warning from a member of HR, yet no such action was taken this time. Hiring staff members despite others having multiple concerns against them and after they were fired for their previous actions / behaviour:
Here, I'd like to use the example of Flowery, a former staff member that had quite a chaotic journey with the staff team. I believe that gabrykot and blu have already elaborated enough on this topic, however it is crucial to mention that Flowery has broken all sorts of rules and was still kept in the staff team / rehired on multiple occasions.
Occasional disapproval of HR towards staff trying to make the game more fun for the players:
While I understand that building an entire station like Goobersville could've been slightly disruptive for a few moments, the majority of community members showed interest and appreciation in this type of entertainment and diversity from the usual gameplay. I can agree that it perhaps never looked as good as the other stations in game, but it is worth mentioning that it was always built from scratch and under a limited amount of time, as we all have lives outside of Roblox. It is perhaps worth mentioning that Goobersville is not the only example of such attitude towards the creations of staff members and there have been multiple times when such "projects" would simply be "wiped off the game" just for the fun of it, because "they didn't look good enough" or no specified reason at all. While it is clear to me that none of us is perfect, I believe that the HR team has had multiple occasions to address the issues, it had chosen not to do so, which in my opinion Ella explained quite well in her resignation letter. I must admit that I am not perfect either and do not consider myself a role model for a staff member, I have been actively trying to resolve some of the issues regarding the behaviour of all staff members within my own behaviour. I must also say that due to aforementioned reasons and events, holding this position is simply no longer enjoyable to me as an individual. I am well aware of the responsibilities behind this position and try to fulfil them to the best of my abilities, which has been rather difficult in the recent weeks (mainly due to personal reasons which I will not disclose here). I would like to notice that the HR team is attempting to fix the issues now, but it sadly does not match my point of view, by making the staff requirements more strict, you might as well strip away the motivation to moderate the game overall, which is probably not your goal.
- In conclusion, the entire journey was for sure an interesting experience and has taught me a lot. I've had the chance to meet a lot of amazing people, which I am grateful for, but I have made the decision to sadly end it now. Thank you all for the recent 5 months of my presence in the team and even longer in the community itself. I wish the entirety of Dovedale Community and the staff team best of luck in the future. Thank you for reading this, my position in dovedale has recently been challenged and probably for good reason. Ive taken this opportunity to resign from my position as Managing Director / Head Developer at dovedale. Why this choice? Personally for a while ive been struggling with the pressure of dovedale and the constantly growing playerbase. This has been greatly worsened by issues in my personal life which id rather not go into detail with. During the period of dovedale where it was slowly growing in popularity (pre v1) i was very disruptive and constantly interrupted the gameplay of others. This became a constant theme with me, even going as far as to earn my "Raye has joined the game" alert. Since then, ive been trying to slowly improve my behaviour and fix up what i previously caused. Now it seems its come to far to go back on this, despite my efforts to improve my impression on dovedale, and ive chosen to resign. Please remember that this wasn't me being fired, Jaiden gave me the opportunity to either stay as a developer or resign, to which i chose to resign. From what i know so far Jaiden will continue to help with my game (GCRR) and it will hopefully stay as a partnered game with dovedale for many more months to come. It does upset me to resign so close to my year anniversary with dovedale but, i guess you take lifes opportunities as they come!
