Role Description The Researcher will support Kazakhstan Fintech Network by conducting structured research on fintech trends, regulatory developments, market dynamics, and technological innovations relevant to Kazakhstan and the region. Day-to-day tasks include gathering data from primary and secondary sources, analyzing qualitative and quantitative information, preparing concise reports and presentations, and summarizing complex topics for both technical and non-technical audiences. The Researcher will collaborate with internal stakeholders, attend relevant meetings or events, and contribute to research projects that inform strategic decisions and public-facing materials. This is a part-time hybrid role based in Astana, with a mix of on-site work and the option to work from home for certain tasks.
Qualifications
* Ability to conduct structured research, including data collection, literature review, and synthesis of findings.
* Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities, with experience interpreting market, policy, or industry data.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, briefs, and presentations.
* Familiarity with financial services, economics, public policy, or technology; interest in fintech is highly beneficial.
* Comfort using productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, online research tools).
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a part-time hybrid setting.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in economics, finance, public policy, data science, business, or a related field.
* Proficiency in English; knowledge of Kazakh and/or Russian is an advantage.
