Rentboy.com was a commercial social networking site which connected male sex workers and masseurs with potential clients. Rentboy.com is also the major organizer of the International Escort Awards and a traveling cabaret called "Hustlaball."
Formerly, Rentboy.com published a manifesto on their website intended for sex workers and clients. This statement promoted a philosophy of "safer sex because the vast majority of sex-workers will not engage in unsafe sex", and says, "While this job may not be for everyone, it has its rightful place among honorable careers."[2] On August 25, 2015, CEO Jeffrey Hurant and six others were arrested at Rentboy.com headquarters.
Jeffrey Hurant founded Rentboy.com in 1997 making it the first male escorting website, and today it still is the largest website with this focus.[3] Since then Davids has acted as CEO with Sean Van Sant as company director. The company is based in Manhattan.[4] Van Sant describes Rentboy.com as follows:
Rentboy.com is not an escort agency. We are an ad listing service for male escorts, where men place their own ads and work for themselves, so that clients can contact them directly. Our mission is to create a non-judgmental space where anyone curious about exploring male-male companionship can hire a man by the hour.[5]
As of June 2009, rentboy.com employed 10 people in three offices and hosted 40,000 escort profiles.[6] In 2009, 1.4 million unique clients visited the website.[7]
On August 25, 2015, Federal agents from the Department of Homeland Security and members of the New York Police Department raided Rentboy.com's headquarters.[8]
Rentboy.com has sponsored its own float every year since 1998 in the New York City Gay Pride March.[9]
The International Escort Awards, also known as the "Hookies", were founded by rentboy.com's Jeff Davids and Sean Van Sant.[10] The first ceremony was held at the Roxy in New York City in October 2006.[11]
Hustlaball is a sex cabaret and dance party organized in part by rentboy.com[12] as a party to destigmatize and honor sex workers.[7] Since 2007, Rentboy.com has hosted Hustlaball three times yearly with a Las Vegas show in January, a London show in May, and a Berlin show in October.[9] Part of the proceeds from this event go to charities such as the Lambeth Hate Crime Initiative, the Terrence Higgins Trust, and the Gay Men's Health Crisis.[13][14]
Founder Davids said of Hustlaball, "This is a chance for sex workers to be open and proud of what they do."[15]
changed name from "Hustler Ball" to "Hustlaball" because of a lawsuit initiated by Larry Flynt due to similarity of name to Hustler Magazine[7][16]
attendance doubled from previous year[16] Hustlaball in Berlin

On August 25, 2015, DHS and NYPD agents raided the Manhattan headquarters of Rentboy.com as part of a money laundering and state prostitution investigation. Seven people, including CEO Jeffrey Davids, were arrested.[8] "As alleged, Rentboy.com attempted to present a veneer of legality, when in fact this Internet brothel made millions of dollars from the promotion of illegal prostitution," acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Kelly Currie said in a statement. DHS was involved in the raid in part because the investigation involves transferring money across state lines. The seven defendants are charged with conspiring to violate the Travel Act by promoting prostitution.[17]
On October 7, 2016, Hurant pleaded guilty in federal court of promoting prostitution. While the case had prompted allegations of anti-gay bias, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement stated that "any insinuation that a specific population was targeted is categorically false."[18]

RVers love the western side of the US. Here you’ll find wide open spaces, plenty of amazing boondocking, and hiking trails for days. The landscapes are incredible, and the open roads beckon. Therefore, it only stands to reason that the RV community would have a certain affinity for Las Vegas, Nevada.
Of course, in order to explore Vegas via RV, you’ll need to have a travel trailer or motorhome. Since not everyone owns an RV, this leads many to believe that an RV trip to Sin City just isn’t possible. Fortunately, this couldn’t be further from the truth.
You see, a Vegas RV trip is made available to anyone by the large number of Las Vegas RV rentals that are just waiting to hit the road.
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Las Vegas? See below for a breakdown of average pricing by class.
With an RV rental in Las Vegas all picked out, the next step is to begin planning your getaway. Fortunately, you shouldn’t have any trouble at all finding interesting things to see and do. Instead, you might just find yourself wondering how in the world to pick and choose from the long list of amazing attractions.
This guide will help with just that.
First, let’s talk about the many natural attractions in the area. The west is, after all, known for its amazing natural features, and the Vegas area is no exception. Therefore, we highly recommend that all visitors make time to visit some of the awesome state parks and national parks found near (and even in) the city.
The awesome thing about NPS sites is the fact that each and every one of them is amazing to see and experience. Whether you’re looking to learn about natural history, American history, or simply bask in the grandeur of this amazing country, there’s a site for you.
Some of our favorite NPS sites in the Las Vegas area include:
Believe it or not, many of the state parks in Nevada are actually just as spectacular as the national parks. Therefore, it only makes sense to get away to one or two of them while you’re in the area.
These are the Vegas area state parks that we recommend most:
Obviously, private RV rentals in Las Vegas require that you find someplace to park and set up camp during your visit. Fortunately, there are plenty of places to do just that both in and around Las Vegas.
Whether you’re looking for something right in the middle of the action or somewhere peaceful to retreat to when the day is done, there is a perfect place for you to park your Las Vegas RV rental.
Why not take your Las Vegas motorhome or travel trailer rental to Hitchin’ Post RV Park and Motel? This park is located in town and not far from any of the city’s wonderful attractions. It’s a huge RV park—meaning plenty of parking is available—and the amenities, 24-hour staffed office, and onsite gambling make it the perfect place to rest your head for a few nights.
Want even closer to the action? The RV Park at Circus Circus has you covered. This park is literally on the Strip and is actually a part of the famous Circus Circus Hotel and Casino, meaning you need only walk out the door of your Las Vegas camper trailer rental to start having a good time.
For those who prefer a quieter place to park their motorhome rentals in Las Vegas, there is Lake Mead RV Village. This park is located right beside the beautiful Lake Mead. It isn’t too far from Vegas proper, but is definitely a peaceful and relaxing place. Best of all, you can enjoy all those traditional camping activities that may not be available within the city.
Want to learn about more wonderful Las Vegas-area RV parks and campgrounds? We recommend checking out this page—which focuses on the top 10 Las Vegas campgrounds—to get some ideas of where you might like to park your RV rental in Las Vegas, NV.
It goes without saying that you’re going to want to see and do things while visiting Las Vegas, but which things should you see and do? Well, there certainly are a lot of options, and you’ll have to pick and choose based on your personality and interests.
As we mentioned before, we definitely recommend seeing some of the state and national parks. Below are the other attractions we highly recommend.
Easily the most popular of the Las Vegas attractions, the Las Vegas Strip is a stretch of upscale casinos and other amazing attractions. It’s a must-visit even if you don’t plan to gamble, and you will want to make sure to see the incredible themed casinos, as well as the fountain show at the Bellagio and the volcano at the Mirage.
Another super popular area is Fremont Street. Here you’ll find more casinos, shopping, dining, shows, and attractions. However, one of the most notable features here is the “Viva Vision” light show, which is shown on an enormous overhead screen, is free to the public, and plays regularly throughout the night.
As you might have guessed, the arts are thriving in Las Vegas. And what’s the best place to go to witness the Vegas arts scene? The Art District, of course! Here, you can check out works from local artists. Visit during a First Friday block party (or one of the many other events the area offers) for an extra good time.
Interested in learning a bit about the history of Las Vegas? The Neon Museum is the place for you. This super unique outdoor museum features the neon signs of the past from some of the most famous casinos in history. The guided tours offered here are spectacular and really help you understand exactly what you’re looking at.
Another very unique museum located in Vegas, the Mob Museum is a must-see for anyone who is interested in organized crime (purely in a curiosity sense, that is). The museum is well-thought-out and engaging, giving you the opportunity to learn about this intriguing subject in a setting that is fun and memorable.
Downtown Container Park is one of the newer entertainment complexes in the city. It’s an outdoor boutique shopping mall made entirely from metal shipping containers.
The buildings here are very cool to see, the shopping and food are sublime, and those with kids will appreciate the amazing play structure situated in the middle of it all.
Looking for something that is interesting, off the beaten path, and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city? The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is just the place. Sure, most people don’t visit Vegas to learn about natural history, but this place is interesting and well put together, and we highly recommend it for those looking for a quieter activity.
Yes, we are listing yet another museum. However, just like most of the others on this list, this one is totally unique and exciting.
Zap Bagans’ The Haunted Museum is housed in an old mansion that has a reputation for being...well, haunted. Wind your way through the museum’s many rooms and judge for yourself whether or not paranormal activity can be witnessed here.
Most sports teams do not play in Las Vegas proper. However, the Las Vegas Valley is home to three major league teams and four minor league teams. Additionally, there are some amateur and college teams that call Vegas home.
In addition to team sports, you’ll also find plenty of boxing in the city of Las Vegas. In fact, Vegas is often referred to as the “boxing capital of the world” and a huge number of important boxing events happen here, making this the ideal place to visit if you are a fan of the sport.
It’s no secret that Las Vegas is the city to go to when you want to be entertained. Bars and nightclubs are plentiful, as are theaters featuring incredible music and a variety of shows ranging from circuses to magic to comedy to Broadway-style.
All of these—in addition to street performers, fountain shows, and light shows—will ensure you won’t be bored for long while visiting. In fact, you’ll probably want to budget more time than you’d ever imagine just for being entertained while in this city.
Want to learn even more about entertainment options in the neon capital of the world? Check out this article on the topic.
From a class A motorhome to a pop-up camper rental, if an RV has tanks they will, eventually, need to be dumped. Luckily, most campgrounds have sewer hookups or at least a dump station, so you can take care of business while there.
That said, those who choose to boondock will need someplace else to dump. Lucky for them, there are places to do this in Vegas.
Most of the RV parks mentioned above will allow folks to come into the park and dump for a fee, and the Railroad Pass Travel Center in Henderson has a dump station as well. Need more options? Check out our article on Nevada dump stations so you can choose the one that is most convenient for you.
Clearly, once you find the perfect RV for rent in Las Vegas, you’re going to need some way to get into Vegas to pick up your rig. For some, the best option is to fly in. For others, it makes sense to make it a road trip. Either way, having information about traveling in the city is helpful.
If you choose to fly into Las Vegas, you will want to land at the McCarran Airport. This is a good-sized airport and is well situated not too far from the attractions. From the airport, you can take a taxi or use a ridesharing program to get to your Las Vegas RV rental.
If you’ll be driving into the city, or even if you’ll be flying in but plan to drive the RV around the city, you’ll want to know about the major highways in the area.
I-15 is by far the busiest interstate coming into and leaving Vegas. Meanwhile, I-215 can be used to loop around town. Finally, there is I-11; this is a newer road that gives you the opportunity to bypass some of the traffic found on the more popular highways.

Everyone knows about the casinos in Vegas, but not many know that there is a good selection of RV dump sites within Las Vegas city limits, which makes it easy for you to do a lot of city errands while emptying your tanks. You can find a variety of them in the areas surrounding the city as well. Most charge user fees unless you're a registered guest at their campground or RV park.
Las Vegas is a widely popular tourist destination and is known for its seemingly endless resorts, bright lights, live shows and casinos. Taking your RV to Las Vegas is a smart way to save money and avoid the crowds. The weather is hot and quite dry throughout the year, which is why covered RV storage in Las Vegas may be necessary to keep your camper out of the sun. Although the storage options below are in no particular order, each facility has its own draws for both Las Vegas residents and travelers alike.
