The joint declaration from President Joe Biden and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol distinguished the remaining parts as having a place with Cpl. Luther H. Story, who was post mortem granted the honorable award in 1951 for his presentation of "prominent courage during extreme battle" close to South Korea's Pusan Border in September 1950, as per the White House.신규사이트

"The incomparable penance and bravery of Corporal Luther Story is illustrative of the opportunity, security, and thriving the South Korean individuals have today," the White House said. Story was among 652 troopers whose remains were disinterred in 2021 for DNA, dental, and anthropological examination, the assertion said.

On Tuesday night, Yoon, Biden and their spouses visited the Korean Conflict Remembrance in Washington, D.C. There they met Story's niece, Judy Swim, and her life partner, Joseph Swim. Biden will have Yoon at a state supper Wednesday night, and the South Korean president is set to address Congress on Thursday.
