I have a problem Claming the overwatch league tokens is keep saying ''Region Ineligible'' what i do ?
"Players of ineligible countries may notice they are no longer earning tokens. Blizzard and Twitch originally mistakenly issued tokens in week one of Overwatch League Stage 1, but have since stopped distribution of tokens to any players who reside in a country that are not eligible to earn tokens.

if she joins you from what i understand the game automatically swaps her server to match yours, but if she is the team leader she will need to change her region on steam through a vpn (look up a youtube tutorial).

The Overwatch League (OWL) was a professional esports league for the video game Overwatch and its sequel Overwatch 2, produced by its developer, Blizzard Entertainment.
Across the entire Overwatch League, six teams have already had their season cut short. In the West Region, the Florida Mayhem, London Spitfire, and Vancouver Titans have been knocked out.
The thing is however, that no matter WHICH region you log in to, you can still choose whether you want to play on the EU or US servers before you actually start Overwatch.
Overwatch isn't actually live gameplay in the normal sense everyone is playing a slightly delayed version of a game which fixes most of these issues (if I understood that correctly - not a server dev).

Overwatch League 2018 - Preseason is an offline American OW tournament organized by Blizzard Entertainment. This S-Tier tournament took place from Dec 06 to 09 2017 featuring 12 teams.

That is not how Overwatch matchmaking works. The server matching for Overwatch is dynamic. In this case, your region is North America. I am also in the NA region, located in the Southeast U.S. I am often matched to the LA (farther) server instead of Chicago (closer) server due to the times of day I play, as well as modes.

The gameplay really suffers when people with 120+ ms are allowed to play with everyone else. Favor the shooter is causing too many kills that would never have happened had someone not been lagging.

Is Overwatch 2 Region Locked on Console in 2025? Console versions of Overwatch 2 remain restricted to the region the game was purchased in. Multiple Reddit threads and gaming forum posts indicate players are still unable to switch their region on Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch.
Unless you are between certain regions I don't see why it is such a big deal. Play in the region you are going to have the best connection in, which obviously is usually the region you are already in.

I'm forced to play on Middle East servers, the matchmaking is bad, everyone is toxic and it's unbearable. Back in Overwatch 1, we used to matchmake in European servers, why are we locked into one server all the time now.

I called my provider and they confirmed this. My internet is running fine for everything else. This only happens with overwatch and this started immediately after the update that removed beta. The update which broke my game and forced me to reinstall. All I can think of is that restrictions for region were altered for Beta Testers.
