Daphne du Maurier was born in London in 1897.
She was an English writer and film director.
Her first novel, "The Birds" (1922), was a success.
It was followed by the novels "Tremendous Stories" (1931), "The House of Mirth" (1930) and "Daisy Miller" (1934).
Du Maurier's work has been translated into many foreign languages.
In 1947 she received the Nobel Prize for Literature.
"Rebecca" is her best-known novel.
This book was published in 1937.

Введение
В ходе данного анализа мы попытаемся выявить особенности стиля произведения Динеи Дю Маре.
Итак, начнём.
Роман «Ребекка» считается одним из лучших произведений писательницы.
Это произведение, как и все остальные романы Дюма, написано в форме романа-фельетона, то есть в ней очень много диалогов.
Именно поэтому стиль произведения отличается от других романов.
Но в то же время в романе присутствует и романтический стиль.
Стиль романа можно описать как романтико-бытовой.
The novel “Rebecca” by Daphne du Maurier is considered to be one of the most famous novels in the English literature.
Daphne du Maurer was born in London in 1912.
Her father was a writer, but he died when she was five years old.
At the age of seven she and her mother moved to a small town in France.
There she went to school until the age of fifteen.
She married a Frenchman, who worked for the British Army.
When the Second World War was over, she returned to England.
Daphne du Maurier (August 15, 1894 - April 2, 1973) was a British novelist and short story writer.
She was known for her dark and violent novels, which often featured elements of science fiction.
Du Maurier’s first novel, “The Birds”, was published in 1931.
It was based on her own experiences with birds.
In 1934 she published the novella “Daisy Chastel”.
The story was inspired by a real-life incident that Du Maurier experienced while on holiday in France.
The article is devoted to the analysis of stylistic features of Daphne du Maurier’s novel “Rebecca” in the light of the theory of stylistics.
As a result of stylistic analysis, author offers a detailed description of the main stylistic device of this novel – the metaphor of “redemption”.
It is shown that the use of metaphorical language in “Rebe-ka” is connected with the main theme of the work – a love for a woman.
The main idea of the text is the story of a woman who has lost her husband and children and has become a recluse.
She lives in a small house at the edge of the forest, where she spends all her time in the garden.
In the garden she finds her freedom and enjoyment.
Rebecca’s life is full of happiness and joys.
But the happiness is not eternal.
It is short-lived.
There are moments when Rebecca is unhappy.
These moments are very long and painful.
