Reddit now forcing users to sign up/use app to view comments/subs on mobile web.

When you open a reddit link, and scroll down to read the replies to any comment, you now get one of the following 2 banners. They cannot be dismissed to read the replies.

This is currently being shown to countries where Reddit has fewer users (India, in my case). Maybe to not piss off the more vocal users from UK/US?

Remember, both of these are shown after dismissing 2 other banners a few seconds ago.

This is what you get when you open ANY reddit link for the first time.

This is what you get when you dismiss the previous banner.

What happens when you ignore all of these and scroll down?

This is what you get when you dismiss everything.

What do you get when you click on the 'Keep Browsing r/pcmasterrace'?

This is where it gets ridiculous

What was the point of asking me to keep browsing the sub if you wanted to stick the app down user's throats?

To the developers that implemented this,

Got a pat on the back from the marketing team?

I'm not angry. I'm just disappointed at what reddit has turned into. Locking content behind a login wall like the other scummy sites Quora, Pinterest and Instagram was the last thing I could accept.

Am turning off reddit premium and deleting both my accounts. Bye!
