This is a subreddit for finding NSFW communities. It was originally built around a comprehensive index but has expanded to include an active community of ~heathens~ researchers.
Originally, the index was organized such that every public NSFW subreddit with 1,000+ readers was included, and organized into one particular location. It also included a variety of indications of subreddit activity. This used to amount to about 1,500 subreddits. Today there are over 11,000 meeting these criteria.
Going forward, the index will instead be a tagged collection of the largest public NSFW subreddits. This means that there is a cap on the number of included subreddits, and that any given subreddit can belong to more than one tag. For example, /r/AsiansGoneWild does not fit neatly in an Exhibition or Asian category.
Moderators have the option to define a subreddit as NSFW. This does not mean that every post within that subreddit may meet your particular definition of "Not Safe For Work." It also does not mean that every sub that hosts some amount of NSFW content will be included.
The tags have been modified over time to reflect the content. If you feel new tags are needed, should be removed, renamed, or perhaps some should be combined, please let us know!

Any given subreddit can have up to three of these tags associated with it. If you notice an incorrectly tagged subreddit, please let us know!
Also included in the index is a list of the largest public NSFW subreddits . This will include up to the largest 50,000 subreddits.
