Which BTS song/s do you think are the sexiest sounding? Emphasis on "sounding" because i'd like you to focus on the audio 100%, and disregard the MV and choreo when making your choice.
It can be sexy because of the melody, the lyrics, the way they sing it or pronounce the words --- anything about the song at all.
I wanna know which songs send shivers down your spine (for scientific purposes ofc 🤭).
Pretty self-explanatory. If there's a Bangtan song I'd put in a music-for-making-love playlist, it would be this. Tae straight up sounds like honey. The lyrics are sad but it doesn't affect the mood because I don't understand Korean 🤭
We are crazy obsessed with them and they know it. And the fact that they are unapologetically singing about it is making me lose my shit. "I'm here to ruin you" UHM EXCUSE ME? But okay pls destroy my life and I'll thank you for it.
Plus the irony of them telling us to go study/be productive while also saying they're rewarding us with the song in a "This is for you. Good girl." kind of way is sending me straight to hell every time I listen to it ☠
Another song that sounds super sexy to me even if a good portion of the lyrics are kind of sad/melancholic. It gives me "millionaire jetsetting boyfriend" vibes.
But the main thing that draws me to this song is JK's opening lines. The entire first verse sounds ridiculously sexy to me for some reason. Plus the breathy way he pronounces El Marriachi repeatedly in the chorus. 😩🤌

This is going to get me murdered and disemboweled possibly, but am I missing something when it comes to BTS huge success? There are so many BTS opinions but y'know. I really dont know how to put this opinion into words.
In my opinion, bts is famous for these reasons: talent, looks, likability, and ability to connect with fans. Great. Awesome. Wonderful! I like bts. I love their performances, they are so hardworking, nice to each other and grateful to their fans. The thing I have an issue with is their "deep, moving lyrics".
Don't get me wrong. I repeat, don't get me wrong. Their lyrics are lovely and full of meaning with a good message most of the time (what i mean by most of the time is that all groups can have a feel good hype song with no meaning whatsoever, it wont harm anyone). However, I think many artists have good lyrics.
I think American interviews can be boring as hell. Some of the most repetitive interviews ever. And a lot of them talk about either the army, or how bts's lyrics changed lives or saved the economy or ended world hunger or whatever (KIDDING, definitely an exaggeration). I know for a fact that some of these interviews use bts for clout, they don't care about the lyrics. Their lyrics are great, just not to the extent of placing their creative genius when it comes to writing lyrics above everyone else's in the music industry. Let me go back to my first point. BTS is famous for many reasons, not just their lyrics. Some like them only for their lyrics, which is awesome, but I bet those people can acknowledge that there is good songwriting everywhere that should be recognized but probably wont because bts has the "package" lets say that people are looking for. By package I mean looks, likability, songs, connection with fans. Its good. We like the package. Allows groups to stand out. When I talk about the next group of people, I am referring to toxic army fandom members who cannot accept anybody criticizing anything BTS related. In some cases, these army will act like they love the lyrics, when really they love the "package", which is fine, great even, but they act like their lyrics are the best,and hate it when other people criticize, when really these fans could.not.care.less about the lyrics.
TLDR; I think BTS, RM especially, is so creative when it comes to flow and wordplay and lyrics and so on. They have great messages and can pull off any concept they want and their social commentary in their songs is amazing. However I refuse to believe that that is the sole reason why they are so freaking successful, as some armys tend to believe. Imagine if they were replaced by d-bags, or less attractive people, or even better (and by better i mean worse), if they did not show their personal lives or funny moments to people at all. No shipping fantasies. Subtract 1 million army. No perfect boyfriend fantasies. Subtract 10 million army. Catch my drift?
I agree. Just to sum up everything you're saying in one sentence, ARMYS think BTS are the best at everything when they're not, they're just one of the best packages in Kpop and global music as a whole. This leads me back to something I said on a recent unpopular opinion post, our dislike for ARMY rubs off on BTS even though it shouldn't. When we claim BTS are great and give them acknowledgement, it doesn't sound sincere even though we mean it. Can I ask who you stan in kpop?
This kind of mentality is the reason why some fans are extremely toxic. They believe BTS boys are the ultimate top at everything and not agreeing w/ that is seen as an attempt to hate. The other toxic group of fans I immediately think of is Blonks. Blonks really love to shit on other groups and when the same is done to them, they got triggered.
this!! i love BTS's music, i really do, i used to be an army for like 6 months, but i kinda drifted away and found other groups (mamamoo baby ily) but i wasn't hostile or anything. but then i opened a Twitter account to find other moomoos and holy fuck, armies... they annoyed me to a point i realized i stopped listening bts, i frowned when i saw them etc. which is something i never thought would happen. I never actively tried to hate bys or anything but unconsciously my annoyance for army made me lowkey hate bts (i never spewed hate online tho, im not 9). same with blackpink. I was never a fan but i liked their songs and i had nothing against the girls but blinks.... istg, sometimes with some blinks the lord is testing me.
which is very sad because i dont want to hate them or even dislike them.
I stan many many kpop groups, including bts. My favorite boy group is shinee and my favorite girl group is T-ara. I also love Ailee.

imo, i feel like they peaked with Wings era... their popularity was booming but their music didn't feel as... mass produced as it does now. that whole album is so full of soul and emotion... happiness, sadness, anger, everything in between. i felt so connected to them and to the fandom too. i would give anything for that album to have been released now; it would have gotten the recognition and love it deserved. Wings deserved the hype that their latest boring radio edm albums have been recieving.

as a hardcore army, I feel that Wings were really the best, so many emotions, so much angst even about life and love. But for the Love yourself era i was flat out disappointed, felt the whole thing was so mass produced, especially after DNA....
Wings is one of the best albums for me too, but have you forgotten HYYH? I mean that album has the best songs of all time. Save Me, Fire, Dope and all those B-side tracks that sounded too good to be true??? Gosh, I miss the old days 😭.
Well in the beginning of BTS it was definitly not their "attractiveness" that made them known. They were often mocked for having "bad" visuals and for example people were calling j-hope a horse/horseface. BTS got famous for their rap and lyrics most, of course them being attractive do play a role. It is true they are not best at everything, but most fans (atleast young fans) think their favorite is the best. That is nothing exclusive to ARMY. However atleast in the category rap and dance they have some of the best in kpop at this moment rap: RM and Suga. Dance: J-hope and Jimin. Everyone including ARMY now they lack singing technique, but gp do not really care about that. If we like the sound, we like the sound.. thats how it is and I wonder why kpop fans in general is so focused on vocal technique compared to everyone else. Sorry that I went on a little rant. What you believe is up to you, but atleast the early fans of BTS did not come because of boyfriend material or attractiveness since they didnt go that route. BTS was supposed to be a hip-hop group, not a idol group. After skool luv affair, I can agree they started with more aegyo and boyfriend material stuff.. however i feel as though they have gone away from that again.

Thanks! I felt the need to go into depth because people might misunderstand the point I'm trying to make. Also I absolutely agree the older fans don't associate with the boyfriend material crap. It's just that I look through Tumblr a lot these says and there is some very....weird stuff out there when it comes to fanfics and imagines and stuff like that which makes me question the maturity of some fans.
as a newer fan (2018) I can agree with the visuals part. I thought they all looked the same lol. When i first saw their mv (DNA) first thing that caught my eye was their dance. followed by vocals. Visuals didn't really play a part. I only became an actual army after the fake love cb& only found out about their in dept lyrics from the ly albums.
They just managed to become the face of a huge music industry(korean music).Mostly because their fans heavy promored them 24/7.And what made their chances better was that they mainly did hip hop when hip hop started to become more popular that pop in america.Thats why theyre so popular.I though kpop already peaked before they got famous,but i think this year is close to the actual peak.The genre got more popular than i thought it would.
i don't get the point of this post. everything you said applies to literally every artist ever. in our culture talent and looks go hand and hand, what's the point you're trying to make here?
that being said, looks aren't everything, and talent is needed. just looks will get people fame, but not a connection with their fans and respect . bts' visuals and dance do their part, but ultimately, what makes us truly love bts is their talent and lyrics.
it's not just about songwriting. it's not about their songwriting being "the best". it's not about technical perfection. it's about their message, how they present it, how they want to be here for us and comfort us (listen to anpanman, magic shop, persona). you can find catchy music everywhere, but artists like bts, who are so genuine and embrace their imperfections, are extremely rare.
what you call "toxic" armys is just armys fighting back against hate, which is something bts gets a lot, from the underground rap scene to the media to stans of other groups to locals. if the group you love gets insulted and demeaned and attacked by everyone, you get defensive and overprotective. that's normal.
also, you're underestimating armys. a huge part of the fandom consists of lesbians. there's always immature teenagers who jump on the bandwagon because the members are "hot", but at its core, bts stans love them because we connect with them as humans and artists above anything else, and it has nothing to do with their attractiveness.
I said this before and I'll say it again. Bts owes their success to B.A.P. New fans have no idea just how huge they were, but then lawsuit happened and bam Bts appeared. I also hate how they basically copied their concept. As a massive B.A.P stan I will forever be salty.
Also,I am not a BTS fan,so I don't know. Is this "BTS suffered the most "narrative actually true or standard rookie from nugu company story? Because we have Super Junior where half of the members almost died, Stellar who were forced to do sexy concepts ,B.A.P who were literally slaves and this is just are few examples.
oh please, the first group to do social commentary songs/concept were Seo Taiji and Boys.. It was not a new concept when B.A.P did it either, so if anything both B.A.P and BTS stole their concept from Seo Taiji. however i agree thay B.A.P probably would be one of the biggest groups of kpop if their lawsuit did not happen, but BTS did not steal from them or owe them anything.

This thread by a K-army (the same one who suggested to look at accommodations in Ulsan) does a good job explaining everything. I highly suggest that everyone who is planning to go reads this . It honestly seems very scary and unorganized, remember, Bighit is not the organizer, everything is in the hands of Busan gov., who aren't doing ANYTHING as it seems.
PTD LA Day1 will be NOTHING compared to the nightmare this could become. SoFi and Live Nation at least are theoretically equipped to host thousands of ppl, it had seats and everything, and look at what happened. This is not even a real venue, it's just an empty lot on the grounds of a demolished factory, right next to residential houses. From what's expected, 50k ppl will sitting, while 50k will be standing , which means that crowd control is pretty much impossible. Plus it's on the beach, which poses further safety risks.
There's only a small, 2 lane road leading to the venue, which is a 20min walk from Ilgwang station, driving there will be impossible. Public transport and infrastructure is not equipped for 100k ppl, this
