Red Fascism, or the New Plot Against America

Red Fascism, or the New Plot Against America

Part 1: Putin's multi-step way

When you don't see (or don't want to see) of Russian interference in America’s internal affairs, you make a huge mistake!

You can turn a blind eye to traditional trolling of Russian Foreign Ministry, which makes comic appeal "to respect the rights of American citizens to peaceful protests" - almost on the same day when in Moscow police actively arrest lonely picketers protesting against police arbitrariness. (This is understandable - Papa Putin has long arms and a lot of money: both Xi and Putin bought up half of the American press)

But one cannot fail to notice the many years of efforts of the Kremlin trolls to promote the "Strategy for the development of a pan-African state in the territory of USA", developed by the "troll factory" of Evgeny Prigozhin, "Putin's cook", the owner of an army of Internet trolls and mercenaries "Wagner".

In early January 2018, the regional director of M Invest Mikhail Potepkin was presented with the project “Development Strategy for the African Division of the Company”, aimed at “forming a negative attitude towards the European powers and the United States”.

Development Strategy for the African Division of the Company

According to document, Prigozhin’s employees planned the recruitment of African-Americans living in the poorest cities in the states of Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi and Louisiana and having experience in organized criminal groups, as well as who have served their sentences in prison.

At the same time, specialists from Prigozhin’s 'Company' intended to create a network of training camps in Africa to train black American activists in combat and ideological training.

A year ago, experts at the Dossier Center, together with NBC television company, studied and transmitted to the media these and other secret documents proving the reality of Russian conspiracy aimed at inciting racial violence in US.

The Kremlin’s goal was to “destabilize the internal situation in the U.S.”

One document said that if successful, this influence project would “undermine the country’s territorial integrity and military and economic potential.”

Frank Figliuzzi, a former assistant director of counterintelligence at the FBI, saw these documents, but despite the Report of Special Prosecutor Müller, released in March 2019, America again with a mistaken arrogance reacted to another warning.

“There’s little to no chance the plot would have worked,” VOX wroted.

Well, and what these chances now?

Still 2 years before the investigation of Dossier Center, which went almost unnoticed, at the hearings in Intelligence Committee on November 1, 2017, stunning data sounded: Kremlin trolls created almost 264 million publications — including comments and shares — on Facebook and Instagram intended for black Americans and dozens of YouTube channels that hosted over 570 videos of specific content.

Kremlin has also created hotlines for Americans that encourage people to discuss sexual or other personal issues - when the time comes, this information will be used to blackmail.

"This data demonstrates how aggressively Russia sought to divide Americans by race, religion and ideology, to erode trust in our democratic institutions," said then Senate Committee on Intelligence chairman Sen. Richard Burr.

But Senator wasn't heard either.

New Knowledge, a cybersecurity firm, counted in 2018, that Russian content already at that time watched by more than 126 million Americans - nearly half the country! Now Kremlin content on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter much more - as well as views.

Strange or not, but the fact remains the fact - Trump government did nothing to restrain the use of social networks by Kremlin's propagandists. These aren't just words - this conclusion from the Report of Special Prosecutor Mueller.

Map of the U.S. with information about African American population size in seven southern states

Among the documents received in 2019 - U.S. map with information on the number of African Americans in the seven southern states, indicating the number of subscribers to websites and social media accounts that were set up by Russian trolls.

Andrei Soldatov, expert on Russian intelligence and author of the book “Red Web: Secrets of Comintern Intelligence,” dedicated to Kremlin information war, has repeatedly warned that the development of complex interference schemes is standard practice of the Kremlin. Several developments of Comintern still operating, and operating very effective.

The idea of African American statehood has very old roots - back in the beginning of 20th century, Communists in America proposed creating a “black belt” nation in the south of country. Then some party members went to Soviet Union to study...

With all the utopia of plans to create a “pan-African state” and foment a full-fledged civil war in US (in what still year ago no one believed), quite obvious that reinforcing racial controversy and unrest among African Americans is priority of Kremlin’s efforts to destabilize the United States. According to Report of special prosecutor Muller, Russian trolls have long and purposefully fomented racial tension by creating fake social media accounts, including on behalf of activists Black lives matter and Antifa.

This is very important point, demonstrating that, unlike extreme right, Moscow almost never interacted directly with the protest groups, influencing them “under the wrong flag”.

At the same time, radical right-wing organizations were directly connected with Moscow. For example, the racist movements "Traditionalist Youth Network" and "Traditionalist Workers' Party" worked closely with the "Russian Imperial Movement" (RIM), which has recently been banned in the US by law and included in the Specially Designated Global Terrorist List (SDGT).

RIM were recruiting Americans to take training in militarized camps near St. Petersburg - in the same camps in which now training right-wing radical German groups "Young Nationalists" and "The Third Way" (Der III. Weg).
