Role Description
Join us as an HR Intern to fuel our mission by attracting passionate volunteer interns and nurturing a supportive team environment. You’ll lead end-to-end intern recruitment while championing well-being initiatives for our fully remote team. Ideal for proactive, empathetic problem-solvers passionate about people operations in the non-profit space.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Intern Recruitment (Primary Focus)
* Map talent pipelines (universities, platforms, communities) to source volunteer interns aligned with our mission.
* Draft compelling recruitment materials (job posts, social campaigns, newsletters) and manage outreach.
* Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate onboarding for new interns.
* Maintain recruitment trackers and optimize processes for efficiency and inclusivity.
Team Culture & Well-being
* Co-design and implement virtual well-being initiatives (e.g., wellness challenges, mental health resources).
* Support feedback systems (e.g., pulse surveys) to gauge team morale and identify improvement areas.
* Assist in organizing virtual team-building activities to strengthen connection in a remote setting.
* Help document HR policies promoting equity, psychological safety, and recognition.
Qualifications
* Recruitment Aptitude: Interest in talent sourcing, interviewing, or volunteer coordination.
* Empathy & Communication: Ability to listen actively and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
* Organizational Agility: Skill in managing multiple priorities (e.g., recruitment cycles + well-being projects).
* Remote Collaboration: Self-driven attitude in a virtual startup environment; adept with digital tools (Zoom, Slack).
* Passion for Impact: Commitment to child protection, human rights, or non-profit capacity-building.
* Bonus Skills: Experience with HRIS/ATS tools (e.g., Breezy HR), well-being program designs.
* Pursuing a degree in HR, Psychology, Social Work, Non-Profit Management, or related fields.
