Role Description The Receptionist at Whalen Films is a full-time remote role responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for callers, clients, and partners. Day-to-day tasks include answering and routing phone calls, responding to emails, and providing courteous, timely customer service. The role involves scheduling meetings, maintaining digital records, and supporting basic clerical tasks such as data entry and document organization. The Receptionist will coordinate with production and administrative teams to relay messages, share updates, and ensure smooth communication across the company. This role requires consistent, professional communication and the ability to manage multiple requests in a remote environment.
Qualifications
* Strong Phone Etiquette skills, including professional greeting, call handling, and message-taking.
* Experience with core Receptionist Duties such as call routing, appointment scheduling, and managing inquiries.
* Proficient Clerical Skills, including data entry, document management, and use of office software tools.
* Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact clearly and respectfully with diverse stakeholders.
* Customer Service experience, demonstrating patience, problem-solving, and a focus on positive client interactions.
* Comfort working in a remote environment, with reliable internet access and the ability to manage time and tasks independently.
* Familiarity with common communication platforms (e.g., email, video conferencing, messaging tools) and basic computer literacy.
* Previous experience in an administrative, receptionist, or support role is preferred but not required; relevant training or education in office administration is a plus.
