Privacy Policy — Recallery

Last updated: August 10, 2026

Recallery is built around a simple idea: learning works better when the right card comes back at the right time.

The app helps users create flashcard decks, review cards through spaced repetition, track learning progress, and manage a personal study schedule entirely on-device.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Recallery.

Your Study Material Stays on Your Device

Recallery is designed to work offline.

Your decks, cards, review history, difficulty ratings, and future review schedule are intended to remain locally on your device.

The developer does not operate a cloud database containing your study material.

No Account Required

Recallery does not require registration, sign-in, or a user profile.

There is no Recallery username or password that you need to create in order to study.

Because there is no developer-operated account system, your flashcards are not connected to an online identity.

Personal Information

Recallery does not collect personal information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Home address
  • Payment information
  • Contacts
  • Precise location
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Personal profile information

The developer does not receive the contents of your decks or cards.

Decks

You can create decks for any subject you want to learn.

A deck may contain information such as:

  • Deck name
  • Optional description
  • Number of cards
  • Review state
  • Progress information
  • Current learning status

Deck information is stored locally and is used only to organize your study material.

Flashcards

Each flashcard may contain a front and a back.

The front can contain a question, word, prompt, term, or other study material.

The back can contain an answer, definition, explanation, translation, or other information entered by the user.

Card contents are not uploaded to the developer.

Review Sessions

Recallery may create a daily review queue containing cards whose scheduled review date has arrived.

This queue is generated from your locally stored study schedule.

The app does not need to contact a remote learning server to decide which cards are due.

Easy, Hard, and Missed Ratings

After reviewing a card, you may tell Recallery how difficult the card felt.

For example, a card may be marked:

  • Easy
  • Hard
  • Missed

This information is used to determine when that card should appear again.

Review ratings are not sent to the developer and are not used for advertising or profiling.

Spaced Repetition

Recallery uses spaced-repetition logic to schedule future reviews.

Cards that are recalled successfully may receive longer intervals before appearing again.

Cards that are difficult or missed may return sooner.

This scheduling process runs locally on the device.

Review Schedule

Recallery may store future review dates, prior review dates, difficulty ratings, and learning states for individual cards.

This information allows the app to determine which cards are due today and which cards can wait until later.

The schedule remains local to your device.

Learning States

Recallery may classify cards into different learning states, such as:

New — cards that have not yet been studied.

Learning — cards that are still being reviewed more frequently.

Mature — cards that have reached longer review intervals.

These states are calculated from local review information.

Progress and Statistics

Recallery may show study summaries such as:

  • Cards due today
  • New cards
  • Learning cards
  • Mature cards
  • Upcoming reviews
  • Deck progress
  • Review history

These summaries are created from your locally stored data.

They are not uploaded to an external analytics service.

Learning Results

Recallery is an educational study tool.

Spaced repetition can help organize review timing, but no schedule can guarantee that a user will remember every card permanently or achieve a specific academic result.

Learning depends on many factors beyond the review schedule itself.

Local Storage

Recallery may store the following information locally:

  • Decks
  • Flashcards
  • Card contents
  • Review history
  • Difficulty ratings
  • Learning states
  • Future review dates
  • Progress statistics
  • App preferences

This information remains on your device unless you delete it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall Recallery.

No Recallery Cloud

Recallery does not require a developer-provided cloud service for its core functionality.

Decks, cards, schedules, and progress do not need to be uploaded to a remote server.

The developer does not maintain a cloud copy of your study collection.

Internet Connection

The core features of Recallery are designed to work offline.

No online account, remote scheduler, or cloud synchronization service is required for normal use.

Device Permissions

Recallery does not require access to sensitive device features such as contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, messages, or call history for its core functionality.

Advertising

Recallery does not display third-party advertisements.

The app does not use advertising identifiers to build an advertising profile.

Analytics and Tracking

Recallery does not use your decks, card contents, review ratings, or study history for cross-app tracking or behavioral advertising.

The developer does not receive a detailed history of what you study.

Third-Party Sharing

Recallery does not sell, rent, trade, or share your study material or personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

Your study data is intended to remain yours.

Children's Privacy

Recallery does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other users.

No personal information needs to be submitted to the developer in order to create decks or study cards.

Removing Your Data

You may remove individual cards or decks through the app where deletion controls are available.

You can also generally remove locally stored Recallery data by clearing the application's storage or uninstalling the app.

Uninstalling Recallery may permanently remove decks and review schedules unless your operating system or another service has independently created a device backup.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if future versions of Recallery introduce new features or change how information is handled.

The current version of the policy will remain available on the published Privacy Policy page.
