(CBS/AP) Officials are reviewing whether laws were broken when pornography producer "Reality Kings" shot a XXX video without permission in a public area near Miami Beach in broad daylight.
The video was shot at Monument Island - the man-made island near Miami Beach that features a 110-foot obelisk honoring Florida pioneer Henry Flagler.
Assistant city manager Hilda Fernandez notes that it is not "an uninhabited island miles off the coast. It's in the middle of a very busy bay."
But an attorney for Reality Kings, which produced the video, says his clients didn't break any rules. Lawrence Walters says no one was around the island at the time of the filming, except the actors and crew.
Legal or not, local historian Seth Bramson says any sequels need to be filmed elsewhere: "It's hallowed ground."

♫ Bring Him Home ♫ - Les Misérables - Colm Wilkinson
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
Night, the world, it’s mine, with nobody else out here
It’s time, run wild and royally cavalier
To burn, ignite, I’d do it for so much less
When all is made clear there is nothing else
And here we stand, the sweet arresting duality
And I come to, it’s resin all over me
Will I awake, will I get a ride with you
My dark disquiet playing such eerie harmonies
My dark disquiet singing such haunting melodies
So white, so still, so bright, it’s almost too painful now
I’m ready to fight, to run from the light
And here now comes the sweet corrupting reality
While now I’m free, will I once cease to be
Will I awake, will I get a ride with you
We are marionettes by strings animated
Yet like lovers of strings liberated
I’ve started wars, I’ve given peace
' Song of Women ' ~The HU feat. Lzzy Hale of Halestorm~
Oh a man ain't a man 'less he's fought the fight
If you know what's right, then you'll walk away
Oh a man ain't a man 'less he has desire
Took a wrong turn and found surprise awaits
Took a wrong turn and found surprise awaits
I don't really have anything to talk about today, this song is one of my favourites from Kings of Leon. What I will talk about though is the fact that when I logged in-world this morning I was greeted by a message from Toast Bard of {fashionably dead} that contained a fatpack of the 'Cozy Shorts'! I'd entered the Facebook contest awhile ago, and since I don't enter many I'd forgotten all about it! Needless to say I got a little excited, opened up that package and instantly fell in love with them. I paired them with the 'Slinky Sweater', also from {fd}, and think I look pretty damn fine! They're both rigged for the Maitreya, SLink(Hourglass/Physique), and Belleza(Freya/Isis) mesh bodies and come in a wide range of rich colours. *whispers*'but just get the fatpack, you won't be sorry'. :D
This hair is 'H531' from tram . And BTW, I always get HUD A from tram....it's a really nice variety of colours.
As usual my look starts with the 'Maddie' skin in 'honey' tone from The Skinnery on the 'Lilo' bento head from Catwa and the 'Lara' mesh body from Maitreya.
The pose is one of ten from 'Pack 90' from Overlow Poses .
I would like to point out that I'm standing in front of one my all time favourite portraits of me from Vrir . ♥♥♥
Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor (ancient Thebes) and was constructed approximately 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language it is known as ipet resyt, "the southern sanctuary". In Luxor there are several great temples on the east and west banks. Four of the major mortuary temples visited by early travelers and tourists include the Temple of Seti I at Gurnah, the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahri, the Temple of Ramesses II (a.k.a. Ramesseum), and the Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu; and the two primary cults temples on the east bank are known as the Karnak and Luxor. Unlike the other temples in Thebes, Luxor temple is not dedicated to a cult god or a deified version of the king in death. Instead Luxor temple is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship; it may have been where many of the kings of Egypt were crowned in reality or conceptually (as in the case of Alexander the Great who claimed he was crowned at Luxor but may never have traveled south of Memphis, near modern Cairo.)
To the rear of the temple are chapels built by Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty, and Alexander. Other parts of the temple were built by Tutankhamun and Ramesses II. During the Roman era, the temple and its surroundings were a legionary fortress and the home of the Roman government in the area.
High contrast effort of hymns book to remind myself that life is often less black and white. So many shades of grey in reality, shades largely missing from this image.
Hear me! Hear this! Among my people, we carry many such words as this from many lands, many worlds. Many are equally good and are as well respected, but wherever we have gone, no words have said this thing of importance in quite this way. Look at these three words written larger than the rest, with a special pride never written before or since. Tall words proudly saying We the People. That which you call Ee'd Plebnista was not written for the chiefs or the kings or the warriors or the rich and powerful, but for all the people! Star Trek youtu.be/3bYkNptOJns?t=134

The similarities with HIV aren't in the spike protein. It's in the viruses ability to inhibit a major histocompatibility complex in which a cell alerts the immune system upon viral entry. That and there's some evidence that it's able to create a reverse transcriptase enzyme which would allow the mRNA to withstand ribosomal degredation and get into a cells nucleus and ultimately bind to LINE-1 inserts in a humans DNA. That's a property of retroviruses like HIV as well.
The propensity for rapid mutation is similar to alpha and beta coronavirae, the former of which constitutes much of the common cold.
Yes, incidental exposure is noted in Pfizer's stage 1 trial. They don't need to be shedding the spike protein alone either if the existence of weaker antibodies only created to respond to the spike protein alone aids in the transmission of the virus via antibody dependent enhancement. Ie, they may otherwise have had the ability to ward of an organic viral infection but the vaccine-based antibodies serve as a vehicle for viral entry since they're not meant to negate the virus as a whole given that the cells which produced them only did so to protect against the spike protein, which is only part of the genetic code of the viruses rna.
I would wager the role antibody dependent enhancement has in increasing transmission as well as viral mutations is behind this more-so than spike protein shedding given that the spike protein alone wouldn't cause someone to contract a variant of a virus then that spike protein was taken from a genome of the virus which preceded any mutations.
All by design as much as it can be.
If he was, it's because he was going off of what many people had been saying. Pfizer declared that antibody dependent enhancement of the virus was a risk of its vaccine in its first stage of FDA clinical trials. Many scientists believed that producing antibodies which came from reacting to the S1 glycoprotein alone opposed to a whole virus would do so. Traditional vaccines which use viral fragments opposed to live, weakened viruses have the same issue.
Essentially, antibody dependent enhancement occurs when the antibodies attract viruses in a person's system to the cells that have produced them. However, because the antibodies aren't strong enough to defeat the virus that attacks the cells, they end up aiding in viral entry. Given that there are 40 trillion lipid nanoparticles in each 2 dose mRNA vaccine, it's safe to say the sheer volume of spike proteins as well as exposure to the virus in the general population can have that effect. The weaker antibodies which are overcome by the virus also would create an opportunity for mutations as they've come to understand how to circumvent the pre-existing immune response as they're transmitted across cells which are already infected.
It's really not anything that the people at NIH/CDC/FDA should have overlooked given that Pfizer itself acknowledged the risk in its ongoing clinical trial. I'm sure they were well-aware and this is just a part of their plan.
An imposing brick shell of a building rises 13 stories above the Long Island suburbs. The edifice itself is composed of hundreds of smashed out windows, which appear to mimic a game of Tetris, frozen in time, as one glares up toward the top of the shuttered skyscraper from the base of the building below. A depressed barbed wire fence, sliced with more holes than chain links, encompass the foundation of the building, a failed attempt to keep the curious out. While standing on the roof of the 13th story on a clear day, one can see straight across the Long Island Sound, where a keen eye may be able to discern the distant skyline of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Such a dramatic building however, is best known only by number, Building 93, merely one of hundreds of structures inclusive of the former Kings Park Psychiatric Center.
Due to its size and often ease of accessibility to anyone with a whim of interest, Building 93 stands as perhaps on of the most recognizable abandoned buildings in the United States. While not much of interest remains inside the shuttered shell, the sheer scale of Building 93 defines it as an abandoned icon, easily recognizable to anyone within the wide range of communities whom may seek out such ruinous structures for some R&R. Primarily built from brick, concrete, and iron, Building 93 rises as a testament to all forms of vandalism. If it weren't for the buildings sturdy design, I have no doubt all 13 floors would have burned up within a smoldering pile of rubble, years ago. These days the graffiti along the roof lines change on a nearly daily basis, providing for an always mutating scenery of teenage angst.
Closed in the late 1990s, Building 93 has been a forsaken icon for well over well over 20 years, entertaining generations of people, from bored teenagers to explorers and every-type of antisocial behavior embracing goon in between. During many summer nights, illegal firework displays can often be found originating from the roof of 93, as mortars and a sea of sparks engulfed by sulfur wreaking smoke are launched sky high by drunken party goers. I can recall one summer running down the stairwell toward the basement to escape a plume of black smog originating from a pile of smoldering paperwork and styrofoam cups, lit ablaze moments earlier by a gang of rowdy teenagers.
Yet Building 93 still stands tall despite the epic partys, for flames are no match against the cement and iron skeleton. For now, Building 93 continues to rise above the Long Island Sound. Some may say the brick and mortar remain as an eyesore, but in reality as evidence to a failed mental health program in the United States, a country where our psychiatric hospitals lay in ruin, as those who need them most are also abandoned like the buildings themselves. I imagine one day Building 93 will implode into a giant heap of smoke and wreckage as a crowd of onlookers cheer on. But until that day arrives, all 13 lucky stories will continue to dominate the exploring culture as an infamous icon, the golden arches of exploration if you will, instantly recognizable as a lawless playground, by those willing to embrace the lawless.
Today we celebrate the feast of “Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. What’s this! In the United States we have no King! We are a proud nation, that abhors dictators, and constantly hold accountable anyone who dares to step up and lead us. If we pay attention to the polls, our leaders never measure up. However, because we are Catholic, our faith, and our creeds tell us otherwise. We do have a King that we follow.
What are the qualities of our King? Surely, they are not the earthly qualities of the kings that we have grown accustomed to reading, seeing, or hearing about; where they have seats in lofty places, palaces and estates, wealth, prestige and power. Nor do we escape the daily barrage of drama and intrigue that accompany those in royal or political circles. In direct contrast to this, we have a King, and we are familiar with HIS path to the thrown.
Today is the end of our liturgical year. Our Liturgical calendar has clearly marked for us Catholics the path where we have walked this year with Jesus. Hence, this is how we walk and worship with our King throughout the Year. We have walked through, a very rough year, that has included moments of joy, happiness, struggle, birth, sickness, and death.
The first major season we entered was Advent 2020. When, I say enter…I mean we make efforts to replicate the waiting for our long-awaited Messiah-the anointed one. The King that will lead us out of bondage and bring peace to our world.
We then entered the Christmas Season. The Word becomes flesh. A King is born, as promised from the kingly house of David to a Virgin named Mary. Not into a life of luxury was Jesus born, but in stable with animals. Yet, those in power, felt threatened…and searched for this newborn babe to dispose of him.
In ordinary times (the major part of our calendar), we get to see the power of Jesus as he walks among large crowds of people, healing and teaching them. He draws his disciples close to him and forms them, scolds them, and prepares them to preach the Good News to the whole world. He is the good Shepherd leading his sheep.
The season of Lent helps us see the realities of life. This is a liturgical Season
