(CBS/AP) Officials are reviewing whether laws were broken when pornography producer "Reality Kings" shot a XXX video without permission in a public area near Miami Beach in broad daylight.
The video was shot at Monument Island - the man-made island near Miami Beach that features a 110-foot obelisk honoring Florida pioneer Henry Flagler.
Assistant city manager Hilda Fernandez notes that it is not "an uninhabited island miles off the coast. It's in the middle of a very busy bay."
But an attorney for Reality Kings, which produced the video, says his clients didn't break any rules. Lawrence Walters says no one was around the island at the time of the filming, except the actors and crew.
Legal or not, local historian Seth Bramson says any sequels need to be filmed elsewhere: "It's hallowed ground."

King of Clubs was an adult reality series aired on Playboy TV that ended in May 2009. It revolved around the Gentile family and their operation of Las Vegas' historic Palomino Strip Club .
The show premise is based upon the real business operations of Nevada attorney Dominic Gentile. In 2006, he purchased the Palomino Club to cover legal fees from former owner Luis Hidalgo III. [1] Since the acquisition, Gentile's son Adam has overseen daily operations and his ex-wife, Michelle, has managed the accounting.
Originally featured on Gene Simmons Family Jewels , producers felt the story and club staff would make for a compelling reality series on its own. Though much too risque for A&E , the show was pitched to and picked up by Playboy TV in late 2008. [2] Premiering in September 2009, King of Clubs will carry a humorous tone and be primarily focused on Adam Gentile's continuous struggle to manage his best friend bartender, out-of-control bouncers, and unpredictable staff of exotic dancers . [3] The show is produced by The Greif Company, executive produced and directed by David Roma , and created and executive produced by Leslie Greif and Adam Reed. According to her Twitter account, former child actress and member of the original cast of the children's sketch show All That , Katrina Johnson has appeared on a few episodes. Johnson is a bartender at the club featured in the show.

In January 2010, a 15-year-old girl from Palm Beach Shores — we'll call her C.S. — ran away from home.
Eight months later, porn site Reality Kings — owned by Brickell-based smut giant RK Netmedia — uploaded a new film. It was called Cum Fiesta and featured a new porn starlet going by the name Bieyanka Moore.
Now C.S.'s mother, Sherrita Smalley, has filed suit against RK, claiming that her underage daughter and Bieyanka Moore are one and the same — constituting "sexual battery, statutory rape, [and] child pornography."
Pictures from Bieyanka Moore's purported MySpace and Twitter pages look strikingly similar to the photo of C.S. given to Nevada Child Seekers by her grandmother. And Moore has a tattoo — four stars on the right side of her neck — matching C.S.'s description. The runaway is in police custody in Nevada, says Smalley's Miami-based attorney, Mark A. Glassman, and her case is being investigated by the FBI. "This is a lot more complex than she showed up and got in a movie," he says. "A 15-year-old did not orchestrate this alone."
RK claims the actress known as Bieyanka Moore provided producers with a valid Nevada learner's permit, purporting her to be 19-year-old Tyler Chanel Evans, and a corresponding social security printout. If those documents were bogus — as RK appears to concede in some filings — it's the minor's fault: "But for this criminal activity by C.S., she never would have been able to mislead [RK]," the company insisted in court.
A few hours after uploading Moore's film debut, says RK attorney Stuart I. Grossman, the porn company received an anonymous tip claiming she was underage. "They took down the video immediately and called the FBI," Grossman says. "The bottom line is RK did everything it could to verify the actress's age."
As the case unfolds, there is one person who should be worried: the as-yet-unidentified actor who had on-camera sex with the girl. Florida law decrees that "a minor's misrepresentation of his or her age... may not be raised as a defense" in statutory rape prosecution.
