Creating a 3D character from scratch in a 3D application such as Blender can often be a frustrating and difficult task. Meet Blenda and Blendo the male and female base bodies created specifically for the free open-source 3D modelling software Blender.
This stunning couple was created by YouTube Blender tutor and game designer Royal Skies for his own personal projects and creations, who has very genourously made these male and female base meshes available to the Blender community absolutely for free.
Blenda the female base mesh is the most detailed of the two figures and is fully rigged, weight painted and ready to go, with 148 total bones, 22 correction bones, 49 correction drivers, 59 mesh correctional shape keys, 59 shape key drivers, 49 poses and 4 organised libraries with hair physics, jiggle physics and colour cordinated, custom deigned, easy to see bone shapes for both the left and right side of the body.
Blendo the male model while lacking Blendas detail, is still fully rigged and is the ideal base model for Blender 3D artists to build upon.
Originally designed for ZBrush this Stylised Male Hero Base model also comes in .obj format so can be imported into any 3D modelling software of your choosing, including Blender.

The geometry and high-resolution textures of all Posed 3D People have been manually refined to match the vividness and authenticity of real humans. Posed People include pre-built materials and are ready to render.
Rigged People are movable and posable scanned 3D People. Each of them includes a skeleton that has already been bound to the geometry (also known as skinning). Our 3D Rigged People can be easily posed or animated in any way you like, making them versatile for use in many fields of application. Motion capturing data can also be applied to quickly create realistic movement.
Our Animated People are moving 3D People. Each of them includes cleaned and optimized motion capture animation that has already been applied and baked onto the skeleton. Animated 3D People are specifically designed to be easy to use, meaning that no animation skills are required for working with them. After importing an Animated People into your 3D scene it starts moving right away.
4D People are volumetrically scanned humans for visualization, VFX, games, VR, AR and everything metaverse. Each model contains a high-res mesh and texture sequence which have been captured in one of the world’s leading volumetric studios operated by Volucap. Our models can be used in all common 3D applications, no plug-ins required.
