A new photo series is examining the beauty of the female body - no matter what shape or size.
Created by University of Wyoming student organization Real Women, Real Bodies, the series features female students posing nude, their un-Photoshopped figures depicted as black silhouettes against a grey background.
The images, which are part of the group's first ad campaign, are intended to promote its positive body image message that women are beautiful inside as well as out.
In one of the images, a woman is seen lunging forward with her arms extended outwards, the silhouette highlighting her muscular figure.
Another is of a woman sitting on the floor and leaning back on her hands, displaying just a slight tummy.

Real Women, Real Bodies was founded in March by students Hannah King, Morgan Looney and Sydney Stein, who is now the president, with the aim of promoting positive body image on campus with the help of ad campaigns and guest speakers.
'The idea behind the name is to encourage women,' reads a statement from the group. 'Real does not imply that some bodies are fake. To us, "real" is a word of empowerment.'Β
By not retouching or editing the photos, the group hopes to provide a contrast to the way females are typically portrayed in the media.
'In many magazines, photos of female bodies are altered,' the statement reads. 'Our brave volunteers shed it all to show that any real body type is absolutely beautiful!'

Sidney and her team asked more than 30 women to participate in the project, but only 11 were comfortable posing nude.
The group sees this reluctance as further proof that their message is important, and that there is still a long way to go in terms of body confidence among women.
'Our intent is to encourage everyone to be confident in their bodies. Hopefully this confidence will transfer into our future photos,' they wrote.
However, Real Women, Real Bodies has not limited itself to promoting positive body image exclusively for females.
The organization is also working on similar projects involving those with disabilities, as well as a photo series featuring men and their varied body types.
'We are gaining a more diverse population as our organization expands. We hope to consistently gain more diversity,' says the group.
