We (UNIIT, https://uniit.sk) are a software development company based in Bratislava, Slovakia.

We primarily focus on web and mobile app development.

Our projects range from presentational websites to custom CRM and data-tracking applications with custom backend.

We're a team of 15+ people.

• ️ Flexible Working Hours: no strict 9 to 5! Ultimately, you're your own manager, so you choose when and how to allocate your time. Just make sure to be on time for stand-ups and other time-sensitive events.

• ‍ Remote Work: Home office is an option! Just make sure to visit our office at least once a week.

• ⏰ 6.5h per workday in average: You are not forced to work 8h per day, you can choose a more flexible alternative of just 6.5h hours per workday which tends to be less stressful for developers. Together with flexible work time, you can choose to work mainly just 4 days a week.

• Paid Overtime: If you work more than standard hours, you get rewarded for it by an hourly rate calculated from your base compensation.

• ️ Paid Vacation & Sick Days: Your compensation also includes 20 vacation and 2 sick days.

• Biannual Performance and Salary Evaluation: Twice a year we perform a comprehensive evaluation of each team member's performance for the past period. The result of this evaluation directly affects potential pay raises. During this evaluation, our developers may get their ranks (J1-S3) upped as well!

• Weekly Gaming Sessions: We love engaging in informal activities be it team buildings, outdoor activities, or weekly online gaming sessions! What Will You Do?

• You will be leading development of projects involving CRM and data-tracking solutions with our clients from the private sector.

• You will participate on daily standups to give and receive updates on the project status and define priorities.

• You will receive your tasks in an issue tracker tool and manage issue states as you progress.

• You will implement solutions using technologies revolving around JavaScript and TypeScript and submit them for code reviews.

• You will participate in code reviews and code-related discussions.

• You will help the development team resolve code-related issues via consultations.

• You will help with onboarding of new team members.

Who You Are

• You have at least 4 years of experience working with web technologies (React.js, Node.js).

• You're a veteran JavaScript and TypeScript developer with multiple projects behind your back.

• You've clear understanding of concepts such as:

  • Web APIs

  • Authentication and authorization

  • Web security

  • Microservices architecture

  • Legacy code refactoring

• You're an effective communicator and a team player.

• You can openly give and receive feedback.

• You can plan large feature developments and delegate tasks to others.

• You are willing to help others when they require assistance.

• Previous experience in a team lead role is not necessary, if you can see yourself in roles mentioned above, it could be the match :)

Remote Work

We plan our operations using the Central European Time (CET).

Holidays and vacations are also planned according to the Slovak public holidays calendar.
