The XXX-6.5 is a two-way component system comprising one pair each of 6.5" woofers, 1" tweeters and 2 adjustable passive crossovers along with all mounting hardware and stainless steel grills. In order to perfectly integrate the individual drivers, the XXX component systems feature new crossover designs updated with optimized parameters.
i was looking to get the RE audio xxx components speakers but I saw that they are 2ohm witch will make what im wanting to harder . would I be able to wire a set together and get 4ohm ?
I'm thinking about getting a set of the XXX components. Anyone have any experience with them? Positives, negatives?
I searched on here, but it doesn't look like anybody has actually heard them. They look pretty badass, but I'm not real sure they would sound that good. I can pick up a set locally for pretty cheap, but don't want to waste the money if they are junk.
Hey I was thinking about getting some RE xxx components, whats the general opinion on them? I've heard they have a lot of midbass. Also how will they do on 70 watts RMS? I plan on getting a better amp for them but until then I was gonna get them in and try them out with what I already have.
Does anyone have any experience with the newer RE xxx Components? I am wondering about sound quality and high power abilities. Basically what do the compare to? I can run active or passive as well. If they are not really nice sounding what would be better that are 2 ohms.

I saw these re audio xxx 6.5 component sets. Pretty good price. Silk tweets ..really thick surround on the mid speakers. 150w rms each and 300w peak.. anybody know about these? Are they good? Do they put out good sound ? And are they worth 300 bucks?
Has anyone owned or heard? Giving subs more power really wakes them up. The MRP-500 is pretty low power. You would really notice more authority in your bass. XXX have plenty of midbass but thats all they really excelled in. and i myself havent really be satisfied with the midbass from any cdt speakers (except the m6+ or 06+ but they dont do well midrange wise) except the es 07s are boarderline.

The RE Audio XXX 18" have 54mm of xmax! And weigh 110 pounds! :eek: Are these things well made? How big of an enclosure would you need for a sealed setup? A guy on one forum has a 25ft3 enclosure tuned to 11hz with one of these things.

Re: RE Audio XXX 6.5 Components. (wagsGTI) You WILL have to make raisers for them, And components suck up front. I know it's setup for component but coaxials give you better sound up front (Amplified of course).
RE Tech support themselves have told me they have personally done this in an active setup. They also told me that this would void the warranty. I was using this statement to back the fact that 250 watts is achievable through these drivers in an active setup if crossed over correctly and properly eq'd. Is it beneficial? Probably not.
The RE set is around $150+shipping and the XXX comps will be ~$400+shipping factory direct. If you have a local RE dealer and can't get them factory direct (or from another on-line dealer), then yes, you are stuck with MSRP prices.
