The 31-year-old adult film star opened up about how hard it was to bid farewell to the animal
Amber Rayne had said goodbye to her beloved horse Luuk just days before she was found dead at her home.
The 31-year-old adult film star - who is believed to have died in her sleep while at her Los Angeles house - revealed she was struggled after having to say farewell to the "love of her life".
Amber was a huge lover of horses, and admitted their goodbye was the "hardest thing" she's ever had to do as she shared pictures of the animal with her followers on Twitter.
She wrote: "The hardest thing you'll ever learn in life is how to say goodbye even though you're not reay to..Luuk.. Thank you for everything..
"Don't know how to say goodbye right now but I can say thank you for reminding me how much fun it was to fly (sic)"
Her friend appeared to realise she was upset over saying goodbye, having invited her round for a much-needed night of "wine, cookie dough & pizza" before her tragic death.
Days before she died, Amber tweeted: "Girlfriend calls me and after I answer "hello?" Goes "oh s***...That's it..Unlock your gate, Im coming over with wine, cookie dough & pizza (sic)"
While her exact cause of death remains unknown at this time, Rayne is believed to have died on Saturday night or Sunday morning, days after the heartbreaking tweets
Speaking to AVN, director Stormy Daniels, said: “She was a really good friend, and one of the best actresses and performers that I've ever had the pleasure to work with, and I'm just glad that I had the opportunity to work with her and call her a friend.”
Stormy revealed on Twitter that she was notified of Rayne's death through the porn star's mother.
"Her mother called me yesterday and told me. I'm helping her family make arrangements for the care of her horse," she tweeted.
She also wrote: "Yes, its true. Thank you for the kind words. Her mother has asked me to care for her precious Galli. He will be coming to live with me."
Rayne was one of 10 women to have accused fellow porn star James Deen of sexually assaulting them while on set.
The x-rated film star claimed that Deen had called her a b**** while filming a sex scene before he allegedly punched her in the face and began having sex with her that allegedly left her bleeding.
Deen has vehemently denied any wrongdoing , and has said: "All of the accusations are from either ex-girlfriends or events that happened on set.
"I always try to take responsibility for my actions and apologise when needed."
Originally from Detroit, Amber headed to Los Angeles with a touring musical production with a BA in Theater Arts and a Minor in Art History from California State University-Los Angeles.
Rayne began to perform in porn films during her early twenties from 2005, earning her awards for her performances including the XRCO Award for Unsung Siren and the AVN Award for Unsung Starlet of the Year in 2009.
Speaking in a 2007 interview, she said: "Aside from my career I'm still what could be considered the average everyday girl. Music is a rather large passion of mine and consumes a considerable amount of my time; whether it be dancing to it, playing my Les Paul, or hanging out listening to local bands music is usually involved."
