Raymond Free Software • Discussion Group Rules

Raymond Free Software • Discussion Group Rules

Raymond Free Software Team

Rules which all members of the group must read and adhere to at all times

1. No self-promotion, ads, paid content or asking for invites

This includes:
• Monetised referral short links
• Selling of any nature
• Automated spam campaigns (will result in an instant ban)
• Placing bounties (e.g. "I will pay you if you can help me with this")
• Asking for invites to private forums, torrent trackers, or telegram groups & channels
--- You will not have any success getting invites to private organisations by asking randomly in groups. These unanswered requests only serve to clutter the group.

2. No discussion or sharing of grey & black hat resources

This includes:
• Discussion of account cracking methods
• Sharing of any accounts (including requests)
• "Innocent" cases e.g. asking for help on recovering a lost password -- we cannot allow this as we have no means of verifying if you are acting legitimately or not.

3. Do not ping or PM admins unnecessarily

It won't speed up the response for unanswered questions. Simply wait - remember you can bump your question if nobody responds within one hour (minimum). Asking in the group is a superior approach as all members of the group can help you, correct each other and view the answer if they have the same question, as opposed to everything being limited to one user only.

4. No Off-Topic or discussion unrelated to piracy

This is better suited to our Off-Topic group (can be found in our index). Includes:

• General conversations (e.g. "how are you doing", "whats the best graphics card")
• Shit-posting, messing about or deliberately disrupting the group
• General / basic tech discussions or tech support questions unrelated to piracy
----- You can Google this category of questions and find articles and guides easily.
----- You will also get much better & faster responses on proper technical support forums such as /r/techsupport, LinusTechTips

5. No gossip, drama or toxicity

This includes:

• Being unkind, rude, disrespectful or (passive) aggressive to members of the group

• Flaming or deliberately starting an argument with other users

• Sowing discord (gossip or rumours about other users or groups & witch hunting)

• Treating incidents as a spectacle and passing comments / gossip / poking fun at a user who had action taken against them (e.g "lol", "they deserved it", etc) - this is unhelpful, irrelevant and only worsens situations

• Backseat moderation -- do not boss users around or berate them if they have violated rules. Note that does not include general help -- this is absolutely fine and we really appreciate the efforts of those who assist others in the group.

6. General conduct

6.1 If your question goes unanswered, do not bump it until at least one hour has passed.

6.2 Do not delete any of your messages as it causes unnecessary confusion.

6.3 Please converse using English only.

6.4 It goes without saying that basic decency should be followed at all times. The following are strictly forbidden:
--- NSFW Content
--- Any and all politics-related content, of any nature
--- Discriminatory (based on race, sexuality, gender, etc.) slurs or content
--- Sharing or threatening to share the personal information of another user without their permission. Respect other people's desire for privacy.

If there is an incident in the group...

... you can notify all admins by replying to the message in question with @admins or !report. Do not use this feature for any other reason.

If a member of any RFS groups spams, harasses or sends you inappropriate content using private messages, please report it to one of the admins by notifying us in the main discussion group like this:

We will then PM you, where you should send us screenshot evidence of the spam after which we will take action against the spammer.
