Rare view: Russian satellite captures Moon crossing Sun
Russia's space lab released footage of the Moon transiting the solar disk during a recent eclipse — captured from 36,000 km above Earth.
The Moon's dark side is visible thanks to sunlight reflected off Earth. The Sun itself is blocked by an opaque disk to avoid blinding the instrument.
