Jordan Adewale, 23, 'preyed' on his victim who woke up during the sickening 1am attack in Slough, Berkshire
A TEENAGER was raped while unconscious when she sleep-walked into the kitchen of a house.
Jordan Adewale, 23, "preyed" on the 19-year-old teen in the early hours of February 7 2017.
She woke up during the attack and alerted others at the house in Burnham, in Slough, Berks, before calling the police.
Adewale was arrested at the scene and denied the offence.
But after "extensive forensic evidence" was compiled, he was charged with one count of rape in July last year.
The 23-year-old was found guilty on Friday following a five-day trial at Reading Crown Court.
Officers praised the woman for her "immense bravery" throughout the case.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Richard Bazeley, from the Buckinghamshire Major Crime Hub, said: "Adewale preyed on a sleeping victim for his own sexual gratification and raped her while she was not conscious.
"He refused to admit his crime to the police or to the courts, despite the evidence against him, and he traumatised his victim not only during the offence, but also by making her go through the ordeal of a trial.
"The jury did not believe him and Adewale was rightly convicted of rape.
"I hope that this conviction gives victims the confidence that they will be believed when reporting such offences and we treat them all seriously. Our officers will always investigate these reports thoroughly.
"I would like to thank the victim for her immense bravery in going through the court process, and extend these thanks to all of the witnesses, who, when called upon, came forward and did the right thing by giving evidence."

Shelby County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Earle Farrell tells PEOPLE that Corter was at sleepover at his friend’s house in Arlington, a suburb of Memphis, on June 4 when the alleged incident occurred.
Farrell says the teen allegedly knocked on the woman’s bedroom door around 2:30 a.m. on Monday and when she opened the door, he forced himself inside.
“He grabbed her by the wrist and she pulled her hand away,” he alleges. “Her hand flew back and hit her under the eye and she got a black eye because of it.”
Farrell alleges Corter pushed the mom onto the bed, but she defended herself by kneeing him in the groin. “She then reached back to her nightstand and grabbed a gun and pointed it at his head and told him to get out, and he did,” says Farrell. “And then she locked the door.”

The alleged victim contacted the police the next day.
According to arrest records obtained by WREG, Corter allegedly told authorities he “forced the victim to do the things she didn’t want to do.”
It was the scandal that rocked America’s most storied political family and changed the course of presidential history. He then started to cry and allegedly told police that he “should not be forgiven,” WREG reports.
“The detectives told me he was very remorseful about the whole thing,” says Farrell. “The detectives told me he had been drinking.”
It is unclear if Corter has entered a plea or retained an attorney.
