Despite having a slow start in terms of total players upon launch, Rainbow Six Siege has become one of the biggest esports titles with consistent updates and unique gameplay.
Siege ’s fun and challenging take on tactical shooters wasn’t the only pillar of its success, however. The game’s multiple progression systems and regular operator releases keep players engaged. Additionally, Elite skins stand at the top of Ubisoft’s in-game cosmetics offerings.
Elite skins can feature different characteristics than an Operator’s general theme and come with headgear, weapon charms, and weapon skins on top of a uniform. What makes these skins truly elite is that they also allow players to do further customizations like Victory Poses, Operator Cards, and Gadget Skins. Though Ubisoft gave away quite a few Elite Skins in 2018, the only reliable way of getting an Elite Skin is unlocking one with Credits.
Here are all the available Elite skins in Rainbow Six Siege.
The L Detachment Elite Skin for Sledge does a good job of capturing the operator’s Scottish origin. The hammer featured in the set is a traditional Scottish hammer that’s used in the hammer throwing competition of the Highland Games .
The Operation Nimrod skin of Thatcher was the first skin to reveal the operator’s face. It also has a different vibe from the rest considering there are only a handful of operators that rock a stylish handlebar mustache.
Thatcher was a part of three conflicts: the battle of Goose Green, Falklands War, and the Iranian Embassy siege, according to Siege ’s lore. The Operation Nimrod skin especially resembles uniforms worn during the Iranian Embassy siege.
Smoke’s Sanguine Arsenic skin takes the fans of the operator back in time featuring his younger self. The casual style and colors of the skin also separate it from the rest and can be a breath of fresh air for anyone looking to stray away from the strict military tone of Siege. Or maybe you’re just tired of confusing him with Mute all the time.
F squadron was a crucial part of the British Royal Air Force during World War Two, and the skin does a great job of making Mute look like he was straight out of that era. The stylish vintage uniform also comes with worn-out weapon skins, which give the impression of Mute being battle-tested.
The Sidewinder is likely to be the most common Elite Skin in Siege since the skin was given as compensation to all players back in 2018 after conflicts surrounding the Outbreak Pack . Despite being one of the older skins in the game, the desert-themed colors of the Sidewinder skin still keep up with the times in terms of fashion.
Black Viper looks a lot like the Sidewinder Elite Skin. The main visible difference between the two is Black Viper’s lighter camo tones, which can be enough to make a decision upon.
Parts of the Siege community thinking that Ash looked like a military version of Lara Croft from Tomb Raider . Fans wondered if Ubisoft would ever release a Tomb Raider -themed skin for her, but considering the developer doesn’t usually stray too far away from Siege when it comes to cosmetics, the community kept their expectations low. Those expectations were justified, however, since Ubisoft released an actual Tomb Raider skin for Ash, and it looks nothing short of amazing.
The Vintage Bureau Elite Skin for Thermite features the operator in a timeless FBI uniform. This old-school uniform is a nice throwback 20th century and it also comes with a fitting gadget skin to Thermite’s personality.
Mute isn’t the only operator with a World War Two skin. The Lucky Seventh comes with a uniform that was first used by the seventh Armored Division of the U.S. Army. Pulse also got a hair redo with a mohawk and it makes him look even more badass than his default skin.
If Leon Scott Kennedy were to pick who’d be representing him in Siege , he couldn’t have done a better job. The Leon S. Kennedy skin for Lion brings the Resident Evil character to life in Siege .
Ubisoft’s passion for releasing historically accurate skins is something to admire. The Maquis skin features Twitch as a member of the French resistance during the Second World War.
Continuing on with the French theme, the Trench Medic features our favorite medic in a uniform from World War I. He also comes with a slick-looking mustache, which can be considered as a signature of the 1910s.
Though it may be hard to tell the difference between this and Rook’s default skin if you only think of his armor when you look at him, Gendarmerie features a real-life GIGN uniform. Alongside being one of the slickest uniforms in the GIGN division, the skin also comes with a unique victory pose and several thematic gun skins.
Going through a corridor in Siege can turn into one of the hardest tasks possible if Tachanka is on the other side. Considering he’ll just start raining bullets toward you when he sees you, he may not even need armor to protect himself.
Glaz’s main skin can give the impression of a dutiful soldier. His Lethal Citizen Elite Skin, on the other hand, makes him look like a leader of a revolution. The stylish flat cap is the star of the concept alongside his striking beard.
The second Shock Army was a branch of the Soviet Union forces which specialized in overcoming difficult defensive resistances to make way for mobile formations. Knowing Fuze, he’d be a great addition to the Second Shock Army, and the skin shows it.
Vympel is a group of armed forces that are known for being involved in secret missions operating under the KGB . Kapkan comes in a nice looking camo which should make him quite hard to detect in low light environments.
Moving on to Germany, the Panzerstärke Elite Skin turns Blitz into a walking German tank. The colors reflect a World War II vibe and give Blitz the impression of being unbreakable.
IQ’s Reunification Elite Skin takes a step back from the military approach which looks to be the common theme for most of the Elites. Reunification features IQ in an exercising outfit that looks to be from the ‘80s and ‘90s. It’s a great throwback skin and certainly, a must-have if you enjoy standing out.
Flying Ace features Jäger in an old school Pilot’s uniform which suits the operator’s passion for flying. Though it isn’t clearly known which era the uniform is from, it belongs to the German Air Forces.
The Axle 13 Elite Skin goes against the groove and features a Bandit who’s probably tired of uniforms. Bandit removes his mask and becomes a biker as a part of Axle 13 while developing a taste for tattoos.
Being a Montreal native, Buck’s no stranger to cold environments. The Snowdrift Expert skin features the agent in a snowsuit that should blend in well with the snow outside Chalet if you’re lucky.
Frost spent her childhood in Vancouver where it can get too cold, too quickly. Keeping a beanie and a scarf at an arm’s reach can have its advantages but not if you’re going south. The Huntress Elite Skin features Frost in a lighter gear and gives her an intimidating look.
The Guerilla Elite Skin takes Blackbeard into the Vietnam war and features the operator in light clothes to avoid overheating, alongside what looks to be ammo that should be enough for days.
When it comes to cameras no one can outperform Valkyrie. The Photographer ‘72 skin features the operator as a wartime journalist who surely can handle herself in the field.
Bit by bit, more casual skins are making into the Siege which can be a welcomed breath of fresh air. The Responsa elite skins feature Capitão in everyday clothes but somehow gives him a post-apocalyptic vibe which could be all thanks to his crossbow.
It’s hard to tell what Caveira thinks behind her face paint that her default skin features. Mata Leão Elite Skin sheds a light on that mystery and shows that she has the eyes of a killer. And, as an easter egg, the skin means “chokehold” in Portuguese.
The Onkochishin Elite Skin features Hibana in a full-on traditional Japanese outfit. She looks to have made some adjustments to the outfit to make it more battle friendly and support movement, however.
Echo looks like a man of few words, which is one of the main characteristics of ninjas. With the Tenkamusou Elite Skin, Echo turns into a ninja. The ponytail finish he chooses completes the look.
When it comes to tracking enemies, no one does it better than Jackal. The Rastreador skin for the operator features him in an outfit that looks like it was out of a detective shows. And, fittingly enough, its name means “tracker” in Spanish, his native language.
The Inspiración Elite Skin does a great job of preserving the tunes and colors of the Spanish Civil War. The removal of the helmet allows players to see Mira’s face more clearly while also making room for a stylish beret.
The Nano-Tox 32 Elite Skin doesn’t turn Lesion into the Terminator but it does a great job of capturing a more Sci-Fi vibe around the operator.
The collaboration between Resident Evil and Siege was one of the best ones so far. When it came down to who would be the perfect candidate for a Jill Valentine skin, Zofia was hands down the best choice.
Almost all operators have military backgrounds, turning them into what they’re today. The Duch Bojowy Elit Skin drives us back into memory lane and showcases a young Zofia who’s a new recruit to the Polish army.
Bad career choices happen and if you were to ask Ela what she would have liked to become, she would probably tell you that she was meant to be an artist. The Huk Sztuki Elite Skin brings out Ela’s artistic background in a punk-ish vibe and is an alternative version of Ela if he had never gotten into the military.
Vigil’s quite gifted when it comes to electronics. The Zero-Day Threat outfit makes him look like a vigilante hacker, and he also shows that he has the moves in the skin’s trailer.
Dokkaebi changed a lot about herself to survive. Hiding her real persona for a long time allowed her to advance through the ranks, but it would be hard to continue such a gimmick without taking a break once in a while. The Electro Beat skin features the operator in casual clothes, and she shows off her dance skills in the animation.
When Maverick is out in the field, he doesn’t leave anything to chance, and the Hotshot Welder skin for the operator is proof of that.
The Australian Operator Mozzie is all about motorcycles. The Deadset Hero skin gives him a western spin, however, and makes him look like a modern, tactical cowboy.
After resigning from the army, Melusi started training local women in tracking, interception, and surveillance at the Southern African Wildlife College. The Umvikeli skin features in an outfit that both allows her to be agile and protects her from the sun.

Ubisoft has unveiled a limited-time crossover between its two biggest shooters, unlocking exclusive loot between Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and Tom Clancy's The Division 2. The promotion honors players who play both titles, including an opportunity to secure a The Division 2-themed skin set for Ela in Rainbow Six Siege. Here's what's up for grabs and how to unlock the bundle yourself today.
The crossover features exclusively loot available in Rainbow Six Siege and The Division 2, the former receiving an exclusive skin bundle for Ela. The Polish defender obtains a four-piece cosmetic pack upon redemption, comprised of a headgear, uniform, weapon skin, and weapon charm for use across the tactical shooter. The following items enter your inventory, once claimed.
The bundle equips Ela with the signatures of The Division agents, including a baseball cap and leather jacket embroidered with Strategic Homeland Division (SHD) branding. The Scorpion SMG skin receives a metallic orange and black coating, while the unique charm keeps the SHD watch in eyesight.
Unlocking the skin requires Rainbow Six Siege owners to play Tom Clancy's The Division 2, either via the full paid game or the recently launched trial period. The bundle unlocks only upon logging into The Division 2 after April 22, 2020 , requiring past players to revisit the game, even if for a few seconds.
Loading up the main menu of The Division 2 with the character select screen unlocks the reward. The new players, either newly-purchasing the game or leveraging the free trial on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC, complete the character creation process. Ubisoft Club, the publisher's external portal for challenges and rewards, is also mandated to claim the bundle.
This Rainbow Six Siege skin bundle is one part of a two-way collaboration, with the "Impromptu" weapon skin also available for The Division 2 players. As with the Ela skin, both Rainbow Six Siege and The Division 2 are required.
For Rainbow Six Siege players looking to claim the free Ela skin bundle, Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is required. While the full paid game is cheaper than ever, Ubisoft has also introduced a free trial on all platforms.
The Division 2 moves the franchise forward in both predictable and new and unique ways. It is a near-perfect sequel of the original game and a hell of a lot of fun to play.

Elite skins are usually the most coveted in the game.
Want to change the look in-game of your operators to something more exclusive? Elite skins might be your answer.
Elite skins are the most unique skins in Rainbow Six Siege. These were first introduced with the release of Operation Red Crow, back in November 2016. Usually, Rainbow Six Siege releases two elite sets every operation.
The biggest issue with elite skins was not being able to combine them with other in-game skins. Well, not anymore. With the introduction of High Calibre, you can now combine them and be as original as you want!
Elite skins include various exclusive in-game items and features. The most noticeable change is their uniform and headgear, which also changes how the operator card looks in the operator pool. They also include exclusive gun skins, an in-game charm, an exclusive victory celebration, and a new look to the operator’s distinctive gadget.
There are 40 elite skins in the game, with some operators having not only one but two elite sets.
With 40 elite skins to choose from, you will undoubtedly find one skin that you like. Users usually pick elite skins based on their most-used operators. This means that elite skins such as Jäger’s, Ash’s, or Hibana’s are some of the most seen in public matches.
Nevertheless, a cool weapon skin, a different victory celebration, or even just a “meme” can be good enough reasons to purchase elite skins. Some good examples are Mute, Smoke, Frost, or Dokkaebi, who have some of the most original victory celebrations, or Tachanka, often seen as a Siege god.
With the introduction of High Caliber , a new elite skin made its way into the game. Vigil's elite set, called "Zero-Day Threat" is now in the store.
Elite sets can be easily unlocked in the game's store. To unlock an elite set, follow the next steps:
Elite skins can only be purchased with R6 Credits. Elite skins’ standard price is 1800 R6 Credits. However, some skins have experienced discounts on their price. So, if you want to purchase an elite skin, this might be your best chance!
The following skins are available with a 20% discount to their original prices, so they now cost 1440 R6 Credits.
Now, you might be asking, if elite skins are so exclusive, why haven’t I seen Rainbow Six Siege esports players competing with them? Well, Siege competitions only allow operator’s default skins, Pro League skins (gold sets), Pro Teams branded cosmetics and Esports Program’s cosmetics.
But, ranked, unranked, casual, and terrorist hunt modes don’t go by these rules. So, get your best elite skin and rock it in your games!
