Donald seems to have lost interest in DJ now that he bagged himself an Ecuadorian girlfriend. While I can't really blame him for going off Linzi, his lack on investment in DJ's welfare baffles me - he moved to Ecuador with Linzi so that they didn't have him taken away by CPS.
Yet his child can barely talk, is in the company of Linzi's shady boyfriend, is visibly malnourished, is exposed to Linzi's overtly sexual and disturbing behaviour and he's done nothing.
He doesn't care, lots of dads out there don't care enough to stick around. Rain probably prefers that kind of man as the father so she gets to make all the parenting decisions. There are not many women who do choose to get pregnant with a man for that reason, but they are out there, and generally exactly as neglectful/insane as rain.
