RYVAL

RYVAL ("we", "us", "the app") is a social fitness app for lifters. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using RYVAL you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account info: your email address, used to sign you in and secure your account.
Profile info: username, bio, profile photo, and fitness details you choose to enter (age, height, weight, goals).
Fitness & nutrition data: workouts, personal records, logged foods, macros, and water intake you track in the app.
Social content: posts, comments, likes, follows, messages, and challenges you take part in.
Camera, photos & microphone: only when you choose to capture or attach media. We do not access these in the background.
Device & usage info: basic technical data (device type, app version) and, for ads, an advertising identifier and general location.

How we use your information

To provide core features — your feed, profile, tracking, messaging, and challenges.
To power AI coaching. Your questions to the RYVAL Coach are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate replies.
To look up nutrition info from barcodes via the Open Food Facts service.
To send push notifications you've opted into.
To display ads that keep the app free, and to measure their performance.
To keep RYVAL safe — preventing abuse, spam, and violations of our terms.

Advertising

RYVAL shows ads to keep the app free. When ads are served by third-party providers such as Google AdMob, those providers may receive limited device information — like an advertising identifier and general location — to display and measure ads. We never share your name, email, or health and fitness data with advertisers. You can limit ad tracking anytime in your device's privacy settings.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the app (such as our AI provider, ad networks, and cloud hosting), and only as needed to provide their service. Content you post publicly (like posts and your profile) is visible to other RYVAL users.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time — see Your Privacy Choices below.

Children

RYVAL is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your privacy choices

You can access or update your profile in the app, opt out of push notifications and ad tracking in your device settings, and request deletion of your account and data by emailing us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
