INTRODUCTION OF RICOCHET

Ricochet is a solitaire card game created by Bram Tebbutt in 2020. Inspired by Tri-Peaks solitaire and the classic video game Breakout, players are trying to destroy walls of cards by creating an ascending and descending sequence on the waste pile.

THE CARDS & THE DEAL

Ricochet uses a 52 card deck. The layout is composed of four walls and a room. Shuffle and deal out the four walls of cards in three layers. In the first layer, each wall contains two cards face down. The second layer has three cards 안전토토사이트 the first two. The final layer of cards are dealt face up. Each wall’s top layer has four cards, and the corners are shared. The rest of the cards form the stock. Place the stock face down in the center of the room.

THE PLAY

Begin the game by flipping the top card from the stock over to begin the waste. The top waste card is used to destroy the walls.

Cards with their face showing are open cards. Only open cards are eligible to be destroyed. Any face down card is a closed card. As cards from the walls are destroyed, closed cards will be uncovered. Once a closed card is completely uncovered, it is flipped over to become an open card.

Any open card that is ranked one higher or one lower than the top waste card can be removed from the wall and placed on top of the waste. For example, if the top waste card is a 4, a player can remove a 3 or a 5 from the wall. The card that is removed is placed on top of the waste, and play continues. The waste can be built up or down at any time. Aces can be used both low and high.

A player cannot remove two cards in a row from the same wall. Card removal must ricochet from one wall to another. Corner cards are considered part of both of the walls they connect. After destroying a corner card, only cards from the opposite two walls are eligible for play.

If there are no eligible cards available, flip the top card of the stock over and place it on top of the waste. Continue play. The game ends when all of the walls are destroyed or when the stock runs out of cards.

WINNING

If a player successfully destroys all four walls, they win the game.
