What is the Resistance Dog ?

The Resistance Dog, was first hand-drawn and named in 2018 by Pavel Durov, the original founder of Telegram and TON. Durov envisioned the Resistance Dog as a symbol of resistance against the Russian government's censorship efforts targeting Telegram in 2018. Since then, REDO has served as the official mascot of the Digital Resistance.

What is the Digital Resistance ?

Following Russia's 2018 ban on Telegram, to support internet freedoms in Russia and elsewhere Pavel Durov started giving out bitcoin grants to individuals and companies for run socks5 proxies and VPN to make Telegram accessible to users from countries where it is restricted or blocked.
