Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical QA Engineer with strong experience in the fintech domain. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in SQL, API testing using Postman and Swagger, and a deep understanding of financial systems. You will work closely with development, product, and business teams to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our financial applications.
Job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for fintech applications, focusing on API and backend testing.
- Perform RESTful API testing using Postman and Swagger, validating request/response accuracy, status codes and edge cases.
- Use SQL to query databases for test verification, data validation, and troubleshooting.
- Identify, document, and track bugs through issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide testing feedback early in the development cycle.
- Participate in regression, smoke and sanity testing for new releases.
- Ensure compliance with fintech regulations, standards and data protection policies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools and methodologies.
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in QA or Software Testing, with a focus on financial/fintech platforms.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger or equivalent solutions.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to perform complex queries for data validation.
- Familiarity with SDLC, agile methodologies, and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
- Experience testing financial workflows such as payments, transfers, loans, deposits, account management, etc.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality, secure fintech products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated testing frameworks or scripting.
- Experience with tools like TestRail, Git, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
