Python Developer

Andersen, an international IT company, invites an experienced Python Developer to work on a project for one of our customers from the UK.

The customer is a cutting-edge technology firm focused on redefining the financial brokerage model. It supports a global client base from offices in New York, London, Copenhagen, and Tallinn. The company's clients include some of the world's leading asset managers, and the firm has achieved a leading market share in several of the world's most liquid derivative markets.

The project is to update and redesign the app with user-friendly widgets, graphs, tables and metrics for users.

Technology stack: Python, Flask, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pytest/unittest, AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting SAAS web applications by designing performant APIs.
• Scaling up data pipelines to operate on a range of financial products.
• Delivering high-quality, thoroughly tested code.
• Building and extending analytical libraries which conduct complex financial analysis.
• Working closely with other developers, Product Owner and other business stakeholders.

Must-haves:

• Commercial experience as a Python Developer for 4+ years.
• Knowledge of object-oriented principles and other Python coding patterns.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQLAlchemy to manage database dependencies.
• Experience with Flask for API design.
• Experience with FastAPI.
• Knowledge and experience with CI/CD.
• Experience with Pytest/unittest.
• Experience in writing readable, testable and scalable code.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate or above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of AI services in AWS, such as Bedrock.
