I sometimes have trouble planning my time and where to put my efforts. I want to do everything at the same time with no complications or hassles. I’m trying to build a Shopify site and obviously get stuck having to read manuals and tutorials. I tried to book a flight with some points and the site kept crashing. Spent about 3h total this week on the phone with support and getting transferred to different people. Finally I wrote them on Instagram and Twitter and got a call back on Friday. Worked on setting up an Instagram for Psychonaut Explorer and got every account (created 6) banned without even having the time to post anything on it. After asking around, I figured that I can’t use the word ‘Psychonaut’ because I guess it’s a forbidden word on IG. Finally have an account and I will share it as soon as I have some more stuff on it
Aaaaanyways, this week is almost done and got a bunch of stuff accomplished after all!
Shot a bunch because there can never be enough smut
Also got some touched up pics of me and Swedish Bella who I shot with in LA. Hope I run into her soon again! So damn tasty!
Worked on my Psychonaut stuff. Building the website is the hard part, but I like getting creative with the rest of the stuff…
Back at the gym. I feel weak and mobile as a shipping container. But I’m still pretty strong if you watch the video!
I was really motivated to train after watching my friends Ari & Mila compete last weekend. So much fun watching & cheering everyone on while stuffing myself with a croissant on the sidelines
Had to do something about my hair too. Got recommended a new salon 5 minutes walking from my place. This will be my spot from now on. Already booked appointments for my nails and lashes too. Everyone was so nice and the owners husband is Swedish too. She called him up while I was there and we chatted in Swedish. AND they served me beer!
I have been looking for a new Spanish teacher. Tried a guy out, but not sure he’s the one. I did get this great book after his recommendation. Muchas gracias!
I’m also reading the series of ‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’ by Matt Dinniman. Finished book 1 & 2 and now on the 3rd one. I like them a lot as they have some humor in them.
“A man. His ex-girlfriend’s cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible.” From Amazon.
That was pretty much my week. More training, shooting and working on the website next week.
Soooo, I’ve been back from Italy for almost a week. Italy was an overindulgence of all the great & tasty things in life – pasta, wine, truffles, champagne, antipasto, pizza and lotttts of espressos. Not to forget, great friends who rent castles and invite you Thank you Andrea & Dasha!
Flew in to Rome and rented a car and drove towards Umbria. I love how people drive in Italy: fast and knowing not to idle in the left lane! Finally arrived and all I can say is just WOW! 2 houses and one of them had a church and an old jail cell underground! Like WTF, I want that in my future house! Not for religious purposes, but I could throw some awesome parties and troublemakers would be thrown in jail LOL…
I thought it was going to be a few days lying by the pool, but nope. Every day there were excursions. Among the things we checked out were the National Art Gallery of Umbria. A lot of historical religious art and what hit me is that it seemed pretty cruel back in the day. You look at a painting and then you realize the person is stepping on some people. Or someone with a knife in the head!
Obviously have to taste some wine when in Italy. They had made a reservation at the Tenuta Castelbuono. Not very familiar with architects or architecture, but this one is designed by Arnaldo Pomodoro who apparently is very famous in Italy. Very cool and Dasha and I even tried to sneak some wine straight from the barrels
I’ve said it before, I like visiting churches. We went to see the great St Francis of Assisi in Umbria. I’m not great at history either, but it’s impressive in its’ size and I don’t think anyone would build anything like this today.
Had dinner at Il Frantoio which is a Michelin star restaurant. I tried a few Michelin star restaurants and unfortunately this one didn’t impress too much. The service was so so and everyone was sweating because the AC was off. But great views and I did tried pigeon for the first time I had the best company though!
A couple of nights we had dinner at the house and it was a pretty awesome setting to dine at sunset!
Some more pics checking out Umbria, Perugia and Assisi. Also some old men in windows and cats.
Checked out on Saturday morning and drove back to Rome. Never been there before so it was fun to check it out. I liked it, but don’t think I’ll be going to Rome again. I prefer all the little towns and was also recommended to go to Sardinia. Added to bucket-list
My favorite place in Rome was the beach area. Only about 30 min drive from the city.
Saw the Spanish Steps and the famous Trevi fountain where Anita Ekberg took a dip.
Had yummy gelato, found a IKEA pop up store, cat instead of old men in a window, and skipped around in a bikini. You know, the usual stuff
That concludes my Italy trip. I hope to visit more places in Italy! And eat more truffles and carbonara pasta!
Here are a few more pics from Sweden too. Seeing friends, partying a bit, hanging out, and lots of animals
Oh, and I did shoot some too. Have more pics coming, but this girl – altogether awesome. HoneyBabe, I think I love you
This week I’ve tried to catch up on work and battle jetlag. Yesterday I watched my friends compete in a crossfit competition here in town and going there to cheer them on today again. Before I go I’m going to tell you to see this movie –> RRR. It’s so damn good and you can thank me later!
OK, some breakfast, more coffee and then heading out. Enjoy your Sunday!
As soon as I had jet lag somewhat in control, me and my sister packed our backpacks and took a train up to the northern parts of Sweden – Vålådalen, for some hiking. We arrived in the afternoon, so we spent the night and had a sauna, hot tubbing and dinner.
We grabbed some breakfast to go the next morning and headed out on the trail. Beautiful morning and we decided we wanted to enjoy breakfast out in the nature instead of indoors. Felt pretty good to get the 11 kg backpack off my back for a bit too
The first day was supposed to be a 13 km hike. We decided to take a little detour which added 5 km. This was to check out the ‘pyramids’ that are like sandhills and supposedly dates back from the ice age. Not sure I was that impressed. But it was also a perfect nap, coffee break and eat a snack spot there.
Reloaded on energy we hiked the last kilometers and finally spotted the cabin where we spent our first night. No running water, electricity or wifi. BUT, they had a sauna and after you ‘showered’ by hanging up a bucket of water and turning a tap on it. Perfect!
The second day of hiking was about 16 km. Beautiful day out and only caught some rain the last 20 min of hiking. The cabins have a rooms to dry stuff in, but we fired up our fireplace in our room and dried up.
Third day was mostly hiking on plains between mountains with great views.
My sis and I obviously hike in style, so when we found a nice spot, we popped a mini bottle of Champagne
We been told that, in the end of our 3rd day hike, we would have to wade over a strong river to get to the other side. If the river had high water levels, it could be dangerous. They showed us at the cabin how to cross it safely. Holding on and facing each other and only moving one foot at the time. We got a bit nervous, but luckily when we showed up, the water was low. There was a strong current, but we crossed safely. Obviously we popped a bottle after that
The last cabin was the nicest one. It was also the newest one cause the old one had burned down. They also had a sauna right by a river. Perfect ending to sweat in the sauna and swim in the cold water. The waters up there are so fresh that you can drink them. Perfect so you don’t have to carry too much drinking water.
Slept like babies and up at 5.30 am. We both like waking up early and you can see it wasn’t too crowded at the breakfast tables hahahaaa… The only other ones that were up were the reindeers that walked right outside the window.
Last day of hiking was about 14 km. It was so amazing to be outdoors like this and we had such a great time. But as soon as we hit the bus and the train, we passed out hahhaaaa…
A couple of more pics from somewhere up there among the mountains…
I can really recommend hiking in Sweden if you like the outdoors. If you want to find trails, info and cabins, check out https://www.svenskaturistforeningen.se/ . They make it really easy to find options and to book. We’re planning on maybe do an other hike in September.
Time flies in Sweden and I’m squeezing as much as possible when I’m here. I will show some pics of what I’ve been up to in the next post. Now getting ready to head out to lunch with a friend. On Tuesday next week I fly to Italy. Very excited about that too
All the best to you where ever in the world you are!
Worked my little butt off the week before going to LA. The feeling that you want to finish stuff off before taking off and not leaving unfinished business hanging. I’m lucky to have met Valentina who is an awesome chick and also a professional model. Didn’t take me too long to ask her to come over and throw some Psychonaut Explorer stuff on her
I also have Tanya who I dressed up. For safety reason she got to wear a helmet lol…
After that it all got a bit too ‘creative’…
Then dressed myself up on some latex, skimpy stuff and tried to pull off the librarian look. Found one of my all time favorite books too – American Psycho! It was one of the first books I read when I was younger. I realized that there actually are some amazing books out there, other than the crap they made you read at school!
Long time since I had long acrylic nails. Knowing I was going to shoot a lot in LA, I put some glittery claws on. I love long acrylic nails. Could never grow my own weak nails to something like these. Only bad thing about them, is the maintenance and getting them filled and re-painted like every other week.
Then I took off to LA. Always so excited to see one of my best friends, Sandy & her family. I call them my extra family in LA This trip was intense. First priority was to get my passport renewed. Found an office that issues passports in 3-5 days that you have to pay some more for. Couldn’t get an appointment at the regular passport office. I love my old passport since it has memories of so many amazing travels. It had only 4 pages left without stamps plus it was expiring now in August.
Then I had contacted a Swedish girl, Monica or @Swedish_Bella on IG, that I really wanted to shoot with. Only stalked her on Instagram and finally we got to meet and play. Superchill and fun chica and we had a great day. I got more pics coming, but here are some BTS (behind the scenes) pics…
We actually had so much fun that we decided to meet up the next day and have some more fun. She also brought her friend Holly Treats that actually was like a real life sized treat Pretty sure (fingers crossed) that I will see Monica & Holly again
Then I’m also working on a really creative and crazy NFT project with some long time friends from LA. We shot some stuff for 2 days around town and I can’t wait to show you. I have seen some of the NFT stuff and it’s trippy just the way I like it. There will be more stuff coming, but the IG page is @yardsaleonacid if you don’t want to miss out!
I also had the pleasure to shoot with Shay Sights for the first time. She been in the same industry as me for a long time, but our paths never crossed. Wow, what an amazing person and we had such a fun time. I already warned Shay she hasn’t seen me for the last time Oh, and not to forget, her cats and dog that I was ready to take with me!
I love Sandy’s kids and between work there was the regular play time with Barbies, making dance videos, throwing parties, swimming in the pool and the list goes on… Sometimes I got the honor to babysit which you can see I handled like a pro!
Did a last photo shoot to really make sure I squeezed in as much as possible…
Time flew by way too fast. Felt like I needed one more week. But hopefully I’ll be back in LA in October. And yes, my new passport arrived in time and it was time to take off to Sweden!
I’m heading up to the northern parts of Sweden tomorrow for a 4 day hike with my sister. Hiking and being outdoors is definitely one of my top 5 things to do! Might even be number 1. What’s on the top of your list? Remember to take the time and prioritize doing them
Had to recover yesterday. Girls night got wild the night before I decided I was only going to drink beer since shots & cocktails tend to make me go loco. It all went well until we hit the club and someone held a shot in front of me. Then there was a plant that I turned into whips and some other decorations that I got hold of. We had to pay some damage fees and then we partied on. Fun night out and everyone got home in one piece #winning
Made my friend Tanya model some Psychonaut wear. Yes, the website is still in the works and I’m trying to grow some balls to at least launch the Instagram. I’m rewriting the text and deciding on pics, but it’s all just procrastination. I just need to get it going…
There was also an art gallery night that we went to last week. Pretty cool stuff. I love art galleries and always make it a priority to visit one when in a new city or country.
Also got some pics from the photographer I shot with a couple of weeks ago. Love these pics.
Then the randomness… Me waking up, working, a guy hanging out outside my kitchen window & a couple of cute dogs I ran into
Lots of stuff to do & finish this week. Off to LA on Sunday wohoooo
Last week I finally got my hands on Sabrina Sabrok! I’ve followed her on Instagram for awhile and she texted me that she’s in Mexico now. Obviously I invited her over for a shoot right away! The funny part is that our communication was in Spanglish. Her knowing a bit of English and my Spanish being what it is. In the end it ended up being awesome and so much fun!
Also performed a bit solo during last week
Been upgrading my workout sessions with Tanya. Some Crossfit and joined another gym for some more cardio and yoga. We take our workouts very seriously
Been reading a lot, and my favorite was this book called ‘Perfume: The Story of a Murderer’ by Patrick Suskind. I’ve seen the movie and liked it too, but the book is even better! I really recommend it!
From Goodreads “An acclaimed bestseller and international sensation, Patrick Suskind’s classic novel provokes a terrifying examination of what happens when one man’s indulgence in his greatest passion—his sense of smell—leads to murder.”
Another great read was ‘The Flicker Men’ by Ted Kosmatka. Exciting and recommend it.
From Goodreads “A quantum physicist shocks the world with a startling experiment, igniting a struggle between science and theology, free will and fate, and antagonizing forces not known to exist.”
After reading ‘The Flicker Me’n I got interested in quantum physics and some philosophy. Googled some books and started reading ‘Think: A Compelling Introduction to Philosophy’ by Simon Blackburn. Way too complicated for me and I put it down. If anyone has a recommendation on a more simple book on philosophy, please let me know I did start reading ‘The Fifth Agreement: A Practical Guide to Self-Mastery (A Toltec Wisdom Book)’ and so far I love it.
Also read ‘Slow Horses’ by Mick Herron. First 50% was a bit slow, but it picked up in the end. I guess it’s a series now on Apple TV starring Gary Oldman (who I love) so I think I will end up liking the series more if I watch it.
From Goodreads: ‘The first book in CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning British espionage series starring a team of MI5 agents united by one common bond: They’ve screwed up royally and will do anything to redeem themselves.’
Oh, almost forgot, Happy 4th to everyone! I’m going to eat now after doing 2 classes that kicked my ass this morning. I also have physical therapy for my shoulder later. I haven’t finished the website for Psychonaut Explorer, but I’ve started the work on it. Same thing with Instagram Tomorrow receiving some t-shirts and pants and shooting more clothes on Wednesday!
Ooops, 2 weeks flew by. I didn’t get started writing here last Sunday, and then the days just passed… But it has been good!
Went to my friend Felipe’s factory to see some Psychonaut samples and re-work some others. It’s hard to choose fabrics, colors, style etc. I’m fortunate Felipe and his people are knowledgeable and everything is of high quality. I hope that next week I will have Instagram for Psychonaut Explorer up and running and maybe even the website. #fingerscrossed
After work comes the workout! Finally feeling that I’m getting back my strength and conditioning a bit. Even though my face says differently…
Since I felt I worked hard I felt I also deserved a little getaway. This time I went to Amatlán. It’s next to Tepoztlán that I’ve visited before. Turned out that Amatlán and the Airbnb were more in the middle of the woods and not really a town with restaurants etc. But very peaceful and it was great to encounter cows outside your door
Luckily there was a neighbor who had a truck that could take me into Tepoztlán for some food and looki-looing. My favorite part was riding in the back of his truck like the locals do
Also ended up eating at the same restaurant – La Veladora, every night. It was so good that I had these shrimp tacos for starters every day!
Then I did some ‘mind altering’ and spent the day by the pool and in the hammock. Hard to explain, but I love that it feels like I’m using more/other parts of my brain while tripping. This trip didn’t include things morphing as much as it supplied delightful imagery and a lot of thinking… I love being a Psychonaut!
Managed to get myself into town after the effects mellowed out and ate more shrimp tacos Then found this cool chocolate shop and bought a bag of chocolates. Got a ride back and sat in the hottub in the middle of the night with some candles and music.
No trip is complete without some bikini pics!
I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Really liked it out there. Except maybe for all the big bugs and ants that I’m freaked out by. Just look at the 2 hollowed out and dried up bugs I found on a tree!!! Oh, and managed to trap a huge spider in a glass and take it out safely. Wish I would’ve taken a pic, but the stress levels when handling that giant spider was enough!
It’s Pride weekend here and at the gym they had a some performances one night…
Now going to hit a cafe for some more coffee and work. I’m very excited for Wednesday this week. Going to shoot with a girl I’ve ‘known’ only on Instagram for some time. We’ll see how it goes because our communication has been done with Google translate hahahaaa… Maybe we get busy doing other stuff than talking
This week was great. When I scouted out Mexico City last year before moving here, I ran into Daniella. To be more accurate I was coming out of a bathroom when I hear someone asking “Are you a Psychonaut”? I was wearing my Psychonaut hat that I guess
