KEYS.BIN and BASE.PBP (from Hot Shots Golf 2 PSX PS3STORE game rename EBOOT.PBP to BASE.PBP) If you use Clean Popstation Generator by TheShadowRunner at Maxconsole you will not need Hot Shots 2 as the required files are already included, the downside is the converter is a little less Noob friendly ie No GUI Link 4.Popstation Cannot Open ErrorHiyaThought Ill knock together this highly rudimentary guide to help anyone having problemsFirstly a brief explanation of how it works With the release of Dark Alexs Custom Firmware 3.02 OE-A psx games from the PS3STORE were cracked allowing you download it and run it On Christmas morning 3.02 OE-B was released which enabled you to package your own PSX ISO within the PS3STORE game Hot Shots Golf 2 so when you ran the game the ISO you packaged in the EBOOT will run.Compatibility is pretty high as can be see in this compatibility list over at Maxconsole forums Compatibility ListHowever as the PS3STORE game we use to contain our PSX ISO is NTSC region the Y postion of PAL ISO is off center meaning when running PAL games the display is cropped You can improve the display by running a PAL to NTSC patch on your PSX ISO before packaging it into the BOOT, game specific patchs can be found for some PSX games over at megagamesMegagames PSX PatchesA generic Pal to NTSC converter can be found at Maxconsole forums although it does cause some problems with certain games one being Crash BandicootPAL TO NTSCHOW TO CREATE PSX GAMES FOR PSPRequirements1.PSP with Dark Alex Custom Firmware 3.02 OE-B2. PSX2PSP V6 by KingSquitter (easiest to use with the most fuctions) LINKSTEP 1- Setting up ConverterExtract PSX2PSP following the ReadMe place POPSTATION.EXE which you should have from the 3.02OE-B package LINKin the Files directoryPlace KEYS.BIN and BASE.PBP also in the Files directory (PM me if you have troubles obtaining files) STEP 2- Converting ISOOnce you have the files in the correct places run PSX2PSP In the ISO/PBP File browse to location of your PSX Backup which can be in ISO,IMG,BIN formatIn the Output PBP browse to where you want the Converted game saved making sure there is enough free disk spaceIn the Game Title Field specify the desired name for your PSX game, PSX2PSP usually takes the name from the ISO FilenameIn the Save Title Field you can specify the name that will appear on the PSX SaveData when you browse on your PSP using the Save Data menuOK now here is the Important part especially for Multi Disc GamesThe Game ID field will be automatically filled in by PSX2PSP taking the info from the specified PSX game this allows the use of 2 x 15 block PSX Memory Cards within the PSP PSX EMU for each gamePreviously as the Game ID was the same as Hot Shots Golf 2 only 2 X 15 Block was available no matter what ISO you packaged this caused some problems with overwritten savedata and lost savedataTaking the Game ID from the PSX ISO lets you have seperate SaveData files for each game However with Multi Disc game the Game ID is diffrent on each disc meaning when PSX2PSP by default will generate a seperate Save Data for each disc To prevent this make sure you use the same Game ID from Disc 1 for all the Discs this way the same SaveData file will be used for Multi Disc gameIf you wish to customise your PSX EBOOT ie have game specific Artwork attached go to CUSTOMISING PSX EBOOT otherwise read onYou can now press CONVERT to generate your PSX EBOOT To play simply place EBOOT.PBP along with KEYS.BIN in a directory of your choice within 1.5 homebrew GAME directory on PSP ie G-/PSP/GAME/FF8Note- When using the OE-B firmware as it is a hybrid firmware the 1.5 homebrew folder is sometimes specified as GAME150 within PSP directory you change this in recovery menu by press and holding R during boot
