Psilocybe Cubensis - Tapalpa

Family: Strophariaceae

Genus: Psilocybe

Species: Subensis

Strain: Tapalpa

Habitat: Subtropical regions. This strain was successfully adapted by Mexican mycologists several years ago. The birthplace of growth is the mountains south of Guadalajara near the city of Tapalpa. Spores are dark brown in color.

Origin: Psilocybe Cubensis Tapalpa is a very rare guest in the collections of ethnomycologists, the mushroom of this species was first found in Mexico near the small town of Tapalpa, located in the state of Jalisco, at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. A small "family" of mushrooms grew, which is not surprising, on a heap of horse manure - the most common substrate for Cubensis in their natural environment. Like many other varieties of Psilocybe Cubensis, Tapalpa is named after the area in which it was first found.
