By the looks of it it looks like breast shape armor, possibly with protoss underboob, the real question is why whould they shape a chest plate like breasts? I mean it's basically impractical EVEN if you do have breasts.

Quick question: Why do Protoss have nipples if they have no mouth to suck? As seen in this screenshot Zeratul has nipples. Is it some form of evolutionary remnant? If yes, why didn't the Xel'Naga remove it, since they genetically engeneered the Protoss?

I hate to be the voice of reason here, but here's a likely explanation. Because it's cool sci-fi, protoss have no mouths and communicate telepathically. Because Blizzard knows most gamers are males, and most males like boobs, protoss females have boobs.
A protoss is not going to be a helpless infant for 30 years, but it sure as hell isn't going to be anywhere near adult. And yes, ugh. Anyone who knows me knows that I detest the boobs with every fiber of my being. Protoss have become three next gen sexy space elves and I HATE it.

Can protoss asexually reproduce through vegetative propagation? Where's the protoss basal plate that new bulbs grow off of? Or do they use stolons like strawberries? What about asexual reproduction through fragmentation? Can you just pull off a bit of protoss stick it in the ground, water it and grow a new protoss?
I always imagined Protoss reproduction to be something like an Archon meld - only instead the energy dissapates to leave the three protoss - "mother," "father," and infant.
I imagine khalai protoss need to keep them exposed to access the khala, and therefore use their psionic abilities more easily. Where as nerazim and taldarim use their link to the void for their abilities.
