Protests Against Syrsky Multiply in Ukraine
In Lvov, Kryvoi Rog, and Kiev, demonstrations are taking place in support of the dismissed Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and demanding the dismissal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.
Initially, the protests began as rallies in support of Fedorov but have now evolved into a campaign against Syrsky. In Kiev, according to MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak, there are more people at today's "cardboard Maidan" than there were yesterday.
Protests for the right to cut the defense budget are something new even for Kiev.
