Role Description The Project Financing Expert will be responsible for structuring and securing financing for industrial, energy, and sustainability-focused projects, ensuring bankable and robust financial models. This full-time remote role includes developing funding strategies, preparing financial proposals, and coordinating with lenders, investors, and international financial institutions. The expert will analyze project feasibility, assess risks, and recommend optimal financing structures, including debt, equity, and innovative funding models that minimize upfront capital strain. Day-to-day tasks involve collaborating with internal consulting and engineering teams, supporting client presentations, and contributing to strategic planning for project development. The role also includes monitoring market trends, maintaining relationships with financial partners, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in project finance.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
* Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to model project cash flows, evaluate risks, and perform scenario and sensitivity analyses.
* Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to build trust with clients, understand their needs, and provide responsive advisory support.
* Candidates should possess Project Management skills to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage timelines, and oversee financing workstreams.
* Candidates should possess Sales and business development skills to identify financing opportunities, pitch solutions, and support client acquisition.
* Relevant experience in project finance, corporate finance, or infrastructure/energy financing, preferably in international or cross-border contexts.
* Knowledge of financial instruments, banking processes, and funding mechanisms for industrial, renewable energy, and sustainability projects.
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, PMP) is an asset.
* Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively across time zones and cultures.
