Project Control Assistant

Project Control Assistant

Digital nomads. Work from anywhere

Company: Pixel Systems

We are adding a Project Control Assistant to our team to help us manage the internal workflows and client updates that keep Pixel Systems running. This role is about organization and coordination. You will be helping our project leads track progress and ensure that we are meeting the milestones we set with our clients. Currently, our main focus is a project for a client in Paris that involves a complete overhaul of their internal operations platform. You will play a part in making sure this transition is handled smoothly by keeping our documentation and task lists organized. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from your own environment while staying closely connected to the team through digital tools.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small software agency that builds practical tools for businesses. We do not focus on flashy trends or consumer apps. Instead, we spend our time on admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations. Our clients come to us because they need systems that actually work and are easy to maintain over the long term. We are a remote-first company and we value a straightforward approach to work: fixed prices, weekly demos, and complete transparency. We use stable technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because they are reliable. We are a team of professionals who prefer solving real operational problems over dealing with corporate drama.
The Role
As a Project Control Assistant, your primary task is to maintain the order of our projects. While the developers focus on writing code, you will be looking at the bigger picture of the project schedule. Your day-to-day work involves checking that our internal task boards reflect the current reality of the project. You will help gather information for our weekly client reports and ensure that all technical documentation is updated as soon as a new feature is finished. This role also involves light quality control, such as checking that walkthrough videos are clear and that the final handoff materials are complete. This is an entry-level position where you will learn how a professional software project moves from a quote to a finished, working product.
What we are looking for
We need someone who is naturally organized and enjoys the process of keeping things on track. You do not need to have a technical degree, but you should be curious about how software projects are structured. We value people who are reliable and who pay attention when things seem out of place. Since we work in a remote environment, you must be able to communicate clearly through writing (emails, chat, and reports). We are looking for someone who is comfortable working on internal business tools, which are often more about utility and logic than visual flair. A high level of attention to detail is the most important skill you can bring to this role.
Helpful background
For this position, it is helpful if you have some experience using common organizational tools. This could be anything from managing a spreadsheet to using a task-tracking app like Notion or Trello. Basic familiarity with how websites or databases work is a plus, and any experience with GitHub would be useful, even if you have only used it to read documentation. If you have ever worked in an administrative or assistant role where you had to manage multiple deadlines at once, those skills will be very relevant here. We use Slack and Zoom for our daily check-ins, so being comfortable with video calls and constant digital communication is necessary.
Working at Pixel Systems
Working at our agency means being part of a small, flat team where everyone's contribution is visible. There are no unnecessary layers of management here. You will see the software we build being used by real people, such as operations managers or inventory teams, to make their jobs easier. The position is a permanent, full-time role and is fully remote. We offer competitive pay for the market and the entry-level seniority, and we make sure our team members have the support they need to learn the ropes of project management. We focus on getting the work done efficiently so everyone can enjoy their time away from the screen.
Our goal at Pixel Systems is to provide stable, reliable software without the headaches normally associated with custom builds. We take pride in our ability to turn messy spreadsheets into clean, functioning databases. By joining us as a Project Control Assistant, you will be an essential part of that process, helping us maintain the high standards our clients expect. We value honesty and clarity in everything we do, from the code we write to the way we manage our schedules.
