The Program Coordinator is responsible for administration, task management, data entry, interfacing with participants, day-to-day operations for the English Speaking Nation (ESN:STT and ESN:CP) programs. As a member of the American Councils Uzbekistan team, the Program Coordinator will also be expected to support and administer daily programming, supporting participants (English teachers, U.S. teacher trainers) as well as liaise with external stakeholders. This position reports to a Program Manager and will also work directly with program staff in the American Councils Washington, D.C. office.
Job Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator will be an integral part of the American Councils Uzbekistan office and will work within the English Speaking Nation (ESN) program portfolio. The Program Coordinator will support programmatic implementation efforts related to teacher training and professional development for local Uzbekistan teachers. The Program Coordinator will be a salaried, full-time (40 hours per week) employee of American Councils for International Education and is eligible for an international compensation package (see below). The Program Coordinator will be:
• Implementing administrative functions related to a wide range of programmatic needs; supporting and managing entry-level staff within a team of seven.
• Liaising with English Speaking Nation participants, teachers, stakeholders, and program donors.
• Collecting , sorting, and analysing data and information in order to develop monitoring and evaluation plans (M&E) and program reports for various stakeholders .
• Assisting with planning and executing large scale events in Tashkent and regional cities.
• Organizing travel and logistics for participants in regions of Uzbekistan
• Coordinating virtual sessions via Zoom and Google Classroom for several participants and American training experts.
• Developing and circulate program participants’ management tools/toolkits – trackers, task lists, calendars and management software to ensure timely deliverables.
• Translation, reporting, and product design – external communications (emails, letters, program guides, etc.) in English, Russian, and Uzbek.
• Other duties as assigned.
Quaifications
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, Master’s degree preferred; in a relevant field of study.
• Must be fluent in English and must speak, read and write in Uzbek and/or Russian with native proficiency level
• Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience in education, exchange, program administration or position with similar duties
• Outstanding time management, organization and planning skills
• Demonstrated talent in representational areas, including networking and building relations with program partners, stakeholders and participants
• Demonstrated excellence in communication and multicultural interpersonal skills
• Well-developed knowledge of education system in Uzbekistan and the United States at all levels
• Experience traveling under difficult conditions
• Flexibility to occasional work on weekends and evenings
• Experience in budget management
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software suite and common social media platforms
Compensation
• American Councils for International Education offers a competitive salary rate based on Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
